48 Hours May 25, 2024 Repeat Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back in action to let you know that CBS is not airing a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, May 25, 2024. Apparently, last week’s new episode was the finale episode for 48 Hour’s current season 37. So, until the new season 38 starts up in the Fall of 2024, they’re most likely going to throw some repeat episodes out there for you, starting tonight.
Yep, tonight, they’re going to re-air the episode titled, “The Fenn Treasure,” which originally aired way, way back on May 22, 2021, and we’ve got some preview information for it for those of you who may have missed it during it’s originally airing. CBS put out a new press release for this repeat episode. So, we’re going to reference it in this preview session. Let’s go.
In tonight’s repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a man named Forrest Fenn. He’s an eccentric millionaire who launched a treasure hunt back in 2010 for a hidden chest that had about $1 million dollars in it. The treasure hunt was located in the Rocky Mountains.
The 48 Hours team will conduct exclusive interviews with some of the people involved in the treasure hunt to explore some of the reasons that drove them to participate in it. The hunt apparently got pretty deadly at times too. CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for this repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “In 2010, eccentric millionaire Forrest Fenn launched a treasure hunt when he announced that he had hidden a chest worth an estimated $1 million in the Rocky Mountains. Now, 48 HOURS and Tony Dokoupil, co-host of CBS MORNINGS, report on rarely seen photos and exclusive interviews in the sometimes-deadly search for the treasure in an encore of “The Fenn Treasure.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 hours will be a repeat episode tonight, May 25, 2024, and it’s scheduled to hit the air, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Tonight’s repeat episode will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
