60 Minutes August 11, 2024 Repeat Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back to let you know that another repeat episode of 60 Minutes is headed your way tonight, August 11, 2024. That’s right, guys. We’re getting episodes with repeat segments until the new season 57 premieres on September 22, 2024. Commit that very important date to memory if you can.
In the meantime, we do have some preview information for tonight’s repeat episode for those of you who didn’t see it when it originally aired. CBS put out an official press release for this repeat episode. We’re going to dive into it for this preview session. Let’s go.
Tonight’s repeat episode will feature a total of three segments that have previously aired in the past. The first one is titled, “SCATTERED SPIDER.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “A surprisingly young cohort of hackers paralyzed some of Las Vegas’ biggest hotels and casinos last fall, demanding an exorbitant ransom.
The FBI and cyber security researchers call them “Scattered Spider” and say they are predominantly made up of native English-speaking hackers from Western countries, including the United States. Correspondent Bill Whitaker reports on the attack that brought operations at the MGM Grand, Aria and Bellagio, among others, to a standstill. And how the hackers teamed up with the notorious Russian ransomware gang behind the recent hack on UnitedHealth Group.”
The second repeat segment is titled, “WORK TO OWN.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “As the American wealth gap continues to widen, correspondent Jon Wertheim reports on an unlikely effort to get more money in the hands of rank-and-file workers. Pete Stavros is an executive at one of the world’s biggest private equity firms, KKR.
His industry is famously cutthroat, but Stavros has emerged as a leading advocate for the concept of employee ownership, which takes the same incentives that have long helped the C-suite get rich and applies them to people working factories, flatbeds and farms. Wertheim travels to rural Illinois to find out how this model has impacted workers, and whether it’s good for business.”
The 3rd and final repeat segment for tonight’s episode is titled, “GRETA GERWIG.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi profiles the brains behind “Barbie” – filmmaker Greta Gerwig, whose outside-the-box blockbuster smashed box office records last summer.
Alfonsi speaks with Gerwig about pulling off a delicate balancing act: giving voice to the iconic Barbie doll while appealing to her fiercest critics, and details Gerwig’s journey from indie darling to billion-dollar director.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes is hitting the air with another repeat episode tonight, August 11, 2024 in its usual, 6 pm central standard time slot. This episode will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
