New General Hospital October 1 & 2 Episodes Delayed, Preempted. Not Airing
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. Unfortunately, we have some really bad news for you guys in this article because the ABC people are ditching General Hospital for some other TV obligations tomorrow afternoon, October 1, 2024, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, and possibly on Thursday, October 3, 2024. We’ll get into the details of it all.
First, we need to tell you that ABC will most certainly get back to airing new episodes of General Hospital this Friday afternoon, October 4, 2024 in its usual, 1 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly try to remember that very important date and time if you can.
So, here’s why ABC isn’t airing new episodes of General Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday and possibly on Thursday afternoon. According to the TV guide listings, ABC is going to provide LIVE coverage of a major league baseball wild card series featuring the Detroit Tigers vs the Houston Astros. Game 1 is airing tomorrow afternoon.
ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of the baseball game 1 tomorrow afternoon reads like this, “MLB Baseball. Detroit Tigers at Houston Astros Live. AL Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal and the Tigers face the Astros in Game 1 of an AL wild-card set. Detroit is making its first postseason appearance since 2014, while Houston seeks an eighth straight trip to the American League Championship Series.”
ABC’s description for their LIVE coverage on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 reads like this, “MLB Baseball. Detroit Tigers at Houston Astros Live. American League Wild Card, Game 2.”
Then on Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2024, TV guide is telling us that they will provide LIVE coverage for a game 3 if necessary. So, this is a best 2 out of 3 game series. ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of a possible game 3 reads like this, “MLB Baseball. Detroit Tigers at Houston Astros Live. American League Wild Card, Game 3. (If necessary).”
If any of you guys are also Major League Baseball fans, you might still want to flip on ABC to check out their LIVE coverage of these games. If you only want to see new episodes of General Hospital, you will certainly want to make alternate plans for this Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, check back on Thursday to make sure there isn’t a game 3, and definitely tune in on Friday, October 4, 2024 because ABC will definitely air a new episode on that day.
