Dancing With The Stars October 22 Episode Preview Reveals Disney Night And More
Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. We’re back with another brand new preview session for you guys. In this one, we’re going to fill you in on what’s going down in the next, new episode 6 of this current season 33, which is scheduled to hit the air tonight, October 22, 2024.
The ABC folks put out an official press release for tonight’s new episode 6. So, that is what well be working from in this preview session. Let’s get to it.
To start, ABC let us know that the theme for tonight’s new episode 6 is called, “Disney Night.” That means you guys are going to see the remaining eight couples dance only to songs from Disney movies. There will be an opening number to the song titled, “Friend Like Me” from the Aladdin movie.
It will feature a special appearance from Michael James Scott from the hit Broadway musical titled, “Genie.” A brand new song from “Moana 2” will get introduced at some point. The troupe and eliminated pros will dance to it. Also, the team dance competition will happen in this episode. After all of that, America will get to vote for their favorite couples, and then one of them will get eliminated to wrap things up.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 5 of Dancing With The Stars’ current season 33 reads like this, “Disney Night. It’s an enchanting night in the ballroom as the eight remaining couples celebrate the magic of Disney through vibrant performances inspired by beloved films and characters.
The dazzling night kicks off with an opening number to “Friend Like Me” from “Aladdin,” choreographed by Mandy Moore and featuring a special appearance from Michael James Scott, who stars as Genie in the hit Broadway musical. In an exciting treat, viewers will get a listen at a brand-new song from “Moana 2,” titled “We’re Back,” when it makes the broadcast debut with a routine by the troupe and eliminated pros, choreographed by Britt Stewart. Partner dances will include the Jazz, Rumba, Charleston, Tango, Paso Doble and Samba, plus the fan-favorite team dance competition returns to the ballroom.”
ABC’s press release also revealed the songs and dances the couples will perform in tonight’s new episode. Since this one has team dances, we’ll reveal those first. Team Goofs consisting of: Ilona (team captain) and Alan, Joey and Jenna, Chandler and Brandon, and Jenn and Sasha will dance to “I2I” from “A Goofy Movie.” Team Roar consisting of: Dwight (team captain) and Daniella, Danny and Witney, Stephen and Rylee, and Phaedra and Val will dance to “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from “The Lion King”
As for the individual couples, Danny Amendola and pro Witney Carson will perform a Jazz to “Bye Bye Bye” from “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Joey Graziadei and pro Jenna Johnson will perform a Samba to “Trashin’ the Camp” from “Tarzan.”
Dwight Howard and pro Daniella Karagach will perform a Tango to “When Can I See You Again?” from “Wreck It Ralph.” Chandler Kinney and pro Brandon Armstrong will perform a Paso Doble to “We Own the Night” from “ZOMBIES 2.”
Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten will perform a Jazz to “Surface Pressure” from “Encanto.” Stephen Nedoroscik and pro Rylee Arnold will perform a Charleston to “A Star Is Born” from “Hercules.”
Phaedra Parks and pro Val Chmerkovskiy will perform a Jazz to “Cruella de Vil” from “101 Dalmatians.” Jenn Tran and pro Sasha Farber will perform a Rumba to “Kiss the Girl” from “The Little Mermaid.”
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that another new episode of Dancing With The Stars is indeed scheduled to make its way to the air tonight, October 22, 2024 in the 7 pm central standard time slot.
