New Murder In A Small Town Season 2 Still In Question. FOX Hasn’t Renewed It Yet
Hey, “Murder In A Small Town” fans. We totally hope you enjoyed tonight’s episode 8, especially since it was indeed the finale episode for this current season 1. That means you guys possibly won’t see another new episode forever because FOX has not officially renewed the show for a new season 2 yet.
That’s right, guys. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm that a brand new season 2 is in the works at this time. So, tonight’s new episode 8 could very well be the last one forever. What we’re going to do is take a look at how the show did for FOX via the LIVE Nielsen ratings, and try to take a stab at an educated guess. Let’s get to it.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Murder In A Small Town’s current season 1 averaged 1.948 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.18 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 7, which aired last Tuesday night, November 19, 2024, managed to draw in 1.979 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.16 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 2.258 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 4 with 1.637 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.22 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.13 ratings score.
Based on those numbers, it’s actually not hard to see why FOX hasn’t been quick to renew the show yet. They’re not really blow-away type of numbers for a major network such as FOX. We’ve seen FOX easily cancel shows with double those numbers in the past.
However, if “Murder In A Small Town” isn’t expensive to produce that could save it. That’s definitely what it’ll come down to because these viewership and ratings numbers aren’t the greatest. So, cross your fingers.
