New FBI Most Wanted Season 7 Is Not Happening. CBS Canceled It
According to Deadline.com, and their sources, CBS has surprisingly canceled FBI: Most Wanted. So, it will not be back for a new season 7 unfortunately.
As we previously reported, CBS also canceled the other FBI spinoff series titled, “FBI: International.” The reports that we’re hearing from Deadline for these surprising cancellations is that there is a new FBI spinoff series titled, “FBI: CIA” that’s in development over at CBS, and CBS needed to make room for it by cancelling at least one of their FBI spinoff series. Then, they went ahead and did one better by cancelling both of them.
The cancellation announcement was actually reported back in March of 2025. At the time, Deadline said CBS was currently casting for the new FBI: CIA spinoff, and that it’s believed that it could get a straight-to-series order based on the talent that’s attached to it. So, we’ll see how that all plays out in a couple of months.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, FBI: Most Wanted season 6 brought in an average of 4.268 million LIVE viewers per episode along with a 0.30 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. So, it still performed quite well for CBS.
Dateline mentioned that there is a very slight possibility that this series could get shopped around for a new network. So, we’ll see if that pans out.
