Big Brother Ashley Hollis Won Season 27 In Finale Episode (Recap)

Earlier tonight, September 28, 2025, CBS aired the LIVE, finale episode of Big Brother’s current season 27, and we finally found out who won this thing at the very end of it.

Tonight’s new episode kicked off with footage of the first round of the final three-part HOH (Head Of Household) competition. It was an endurance comp where they basically had to hold on for dear life. Ashley dropped first. So, it came down to Vince and Morgan, and Morgan won it. So, she automatically advanced to round three to await the winner between Ashley and Vince in round two.

After that, they showed footage season 20 All-Star winner Cody Calafiore returning to host the jury roundtable event. Ava showed up to reveal that she was the latest one evicted. Then, they talked about who should win between Vince, Ashley and Morgan.

They said Morgan did very well. However, they weren’t sure who was making the decisions between her and Vince.

They said Vince was good at making you think he was your ally. However, he lied unnecessarily. Rachel said, “I will not allow this jury to be a bitter jury. Vince is playing the Big Brother game. Each one of you are here because of him.”

Ava said Ashley was very loyal. In regards to being a lawyer, Kelley said, “I’m impressed with how Ashley was able to dumb herself down.” However, they did keep mentioning that Morgan and Vince were more competitive than she was.

Next, they showed round 2 of the final three-part HOH comp with Ashley and Vince. Frankie Grande from season 16 returned to host it. In this comp, they had to knock down Mastermind billboards, put together a puzzle to decode a password, and place numbers in order of when houseguests were evicted for the win. Both Ashley and Vince read the instructions wrong, thinking they needed to place the numbers for day houseguests were evicted. Ashley re-read the instructions to make the correction and win it.

Afterwards, Vince beat himself up over reading the round 2 instructions wrong. Morgan tried to comfort him. He said, “Ashley made the same mistake, but she figured it out. I feel so stupid. I don’t deserve to win.”

There was a segment that showed Big Brother legend Dr. Will Kirby as being the real identity of the Mastermind, but he said he was framed.

After all of that, they showed the LIVE final round 3 of the final HOH comp between Morgan and Ashley. It was titled, “Purgatory Duty.” It was a true or false quiz. Ashley won it convincingly by a score of 4-1.

Vince and Morgan gave their final plea speeches. Morgan told Ashley, “I’m so happy for you. I would like nothing more to sit next to you in the final two.” Vince said, “Congrats on rounds 2 and 3. That was so clutch. It would be a toss up with me and you in the finals. Do what’s best for your game.”

Ashley said, “Morgan, I don’t know if I can beat you in a final two. So, I’m sorry, but I have to evict you. I’m so sorry.” Morgan said, “It’s ok,” and they gave each other a hug.

In her exit interview, Morgan told host Julie Chen-Moonves, “I did not think Ashley would take me to the final two because everyone said I would be hard to beat. If I was her, I would’ve done the same thing. Of course I’m disappointed, but I love Ashley. I was going to take Ashley because I thought I could beat her. I’m very proud that Vince is in the final two. He’s very deserving.

Me and Vince were best friends in the house. I sort of freaked out a little bit in that final HOH, but I’m at peace with what happened. I’m feeling ok. I wanted to be in the finals, and I thought I could’ve won this game, but I’m ok with everything.”

Next, they brought the jury members: Rachel, Will, Kelley, Keanu, Ava and Lauren onto the LIVE show stage. Then, Morgan joined them as the final juror. They asked the final two Vince and Ashley some questions before casting their votes.

During the questions segment, Vince told the jury, “I don’t think I did anything emotionally manipulative, unethical or poor. I played with self preservation. This game is designed to get out people before they get you out.

I’m sorry if anyone felt upset by that. All of my crying was sincere. I spoke with compassion and conviction. I wanted people to trust me. Morgan can’t take credit for me honoring the judges alliance because I doubted it a lot. I didn’t have any alignment with Morgan in the first 6 weeks. A lot of those early moves were all mine.

The strongest part of my game was my social game. I did a lot of damage control. I was able to get a lot of people to trust me even after I burned them. Rachel protected me when I wanted her out the first part of the game. I was able to make allies out of my enemies and create multiple paths to the end.

I did everything I could to make it here. I won four HOHs that were mental and physical ones. Over half of the cast was evicted by me alone. I was strategizing in broad daylight, and everyone knew what I was doing. I always found a way to get myself off the block when I was there. I put my heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into this game. I did backstab and manipulate, but that’s what Big Brother is, to outplay everyone.”

Ashley told them, “I feel my best strategic moves were being able to adapt to the game. When Zach left week five, I found an opening in that. I convinced Rachel that Morgan was a valuable asset in the game to create the Judges alliance. That helped me reposition myself in the game.

My personal contributions were my social game. I positioned myself accordingly. I had an alliance with Keanu at some point as well. I was able to cover every situation in the house to make sure I was covered.

I deserve to win over Vince because I stuck to strategy. I positioned myself to stay safe week after week. I was able to turn Vince from an enemy into an ally. I was able to get Keanu to flip his vote to keep me late in the season.

I came in with a mission to win this game. I won the very first POV and changed the trajectory of my game. I didn’t go on the block for 9 straight weeks. That was strategy. I painted a little bit of a target just big enough to keep me in this game. I had to hide my lawyer identity to keep myself safe week after week. I let you guys think I was being manipulated by you. I played the best strategic, social game.”

After all of that, the jury members cast their votes for the winner. Then, they welcomed back the evicted, pre-jury houseguests: Jimmy, Zae, Amy, Adrian, Zach, Rylie, Katherine and Mickey to talk about this season.

Zach said he was surprised to learn about all the final two deals Vince had made. Vince said, “Morgan was my best final two out of all of them because she fought for me the most.” Jimmy said Morgan did the best at using other people’s HOHs to get things done. Mickey agreed with Jimmy, saying Morgan did a great job at painting a picture for people.

Rachel said, “Me and Keanu did have a real frenemies alliance, but I would’ve picked my other alliances over him because I prefer to have actual friends than frenemies.” Rylie and Katherine said they are still together. Amy revealed she was the Mastermind’s accomplice.

It was revealed that Dr Will wasn’t the real Mastermind. It was Jessie Godderz ( from Big Brother 10 and 11), Frankie Grande (from season 16), and Eric Stein (from season 8). They said they were all working together on the basis that they all had a bone to pick in regards to their seasons, and they were getting revenge. They said, “If you can’t beat a twist, become one.” Rachel said, “I’m blown away!”

After all of that, host Julie Chen-Moonves read off the jury votes to reveal the winner of this season. Morgan voted for Vince. Ava, Keanu, Lauren, Kelley, Will and Rachel all voted for Ashley to win. So, by a landslide vote of 6-1, Ashley was voted the winner of Big Brother season 27 tonight! She won $750,000 dollars for her troubles.

Then, Julie revealed that Rachel, Keanu and Will were the top three vote-getters for America’s Favorite Player, and Keanu won it for the $50,000 dollars. Keanu said, “I’m very happy that America found value in the game I tried to play.”

Vince said, “$75,000 dollars is more money I’ve made in my entire life. So, I’ll take it.” Ashley said, “I’m not going back to work after this.” How do you guys feel about Ashley winning Big Brother season 27? Let us know in the comments section.
