Best Medicine New Season 2 Is Happening. FOX Renewed it

Earlier tonight, April 7, 2026, FOX aired the 13th episode of Best Medicine’s current season 1, and it was indeed the finale episode. So, that made us wonder will there be a new season 2.

According a recent report from the folks over at Deadline.com , we can officially confirm that FOX did indeed renew Best Medicine for a brand new season 2.

The season 2 renewal took place back in March 2026. So, FOX did decide to renew it before the season ended, which is quite positive. It must have done quite well for them. Deadline went on to mention that the new season 2 will be given a total of 12 new episodes. It was FOX’s top 2 highest-rated drama debuts. It was also the only one to keep growing after it debuted.

Michael Thorn who is the President Of FOX made a very positive statement for Best Medicine during the renewal stating, “Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart.

Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season 2.”

According to the Nielsen LIVE ratings, Best Medicine averaged 3.104 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.24 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 12, which aired last Tuesday night, March 31, 2026, drew in 2.743 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.19 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 3.694 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 12 with 2.743 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.45 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 12 with a 0.19 ratings score.
