High Potential New Season 3 Is Happening. ABC Renewed It

Earlier tonight, ABC aired the 18th episode of High Potential’s current season 2, and it was the season finale episode. So, we’re back on here to talk about a new season 3.

We’re very happy to tell you guys that we can officially confirm that a new season 3 is happening. According to a recent report from the folks over at Deadline.com , ABC actually made the season 3 renewal announcement back in March 2026. So, they gave it a little bit of an early renewal.

Deadline went on to inform us that High Potential is one of ABC’s top drama series. Also, the current showrunner Todd Harthan is leaving the show to work on a different project. So, season 3 will have a new showrunner.

According to the LIVE Nielsen rating, High Potential delivered some really strong numbers for ABC. It brought in an average of 4.959 million LIVE viewers per episode along with a 0.34 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The most recent episode 17, which aired last Tuesday night, March 31, 2026, drew in 5.261 million LIVE viewers along with a 0.27 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 11 with 6.060 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 2 with 3.840 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.42 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 15 with a 0.25 ratings score.

Currently, it is not yet known how many episodes season 3 will consist of. Season 2 had a total of 18 episodes. So, that might be the likely amount. We also don’t have an official premiere date for season 3 yet, but we’re guessing it’ll probably debut in the Fall of 2026 sometime. We’ll see.
