DMV New Season 2 Is Not Happening. CBS Canceled It
Tonight, May 11, 2026, CBS aired the 20th episode of DMV’s current, premiere season 1, and it was the season finale episode. Unfortunately, we also have to report that episode 20 was also the series finale episode.
CBS made the decision to cancel it back in March 2026 according to a report from Deadline.com and their sources.
They went on to report that DMV was one CBS’ lowest-rated shows as a reason for the cancellation. Plus, CBS was looking to replace it with a new comedy called, “Eternally Yours,” which is a vampire comedy. Another comedy that CBS will be bringing in is called, “The Tillbrooks (fka Regency).”
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, DMV season 1 averaged 2.957 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.24 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The most recent episode 19, which aired last Monday night, May 4, 2026, drew in 2.683 million LIVE viewers along with a 0.20 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 3.930 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 19 with 2.683 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.30 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 17 with a 0.19 ratings score.
