Marshals New Season 2 Is Happening. CBS Renewed It Early

Tonight, May 24, 2026, CBS is airing the 13th episode of Marshal’s current, premiere season 1, and it is the season finale episode. So, we did find out if CBS renewed it for a brand new season 2.

According to the folks over at Deadline.com and their sources, CBS actually gave Marshals a very early season 2 renewal order back in March 2026. So, they must have been quite happy with its performance.

Amy Reisenbach who is the president of CBS Entertainment had some very wonderful things to say about the show during the season 2 renewal announcement stating, “Marshals delivered a breakout performance, capturing a massive audience across platforms and quickly establishing itself as one of TV’s most powerful new series.

The overwhelming viewer response speaks to the strength of the Yellowstone world, the bold character driven storytelling from the creative team and the dynamic cast performances led by Luke Grimes.”

Currently, there is no mention of an exact premiere date or episode count for the new season 2 at this time. We’ll have to give you those details at later date when they become available from CBS.

According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Marshals season 1 managed to average 7.716 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.49 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. Those are some excellent numbers. It’s no wonder CBS decided to give it an early renewal.
