Big Brother August 20 Evicted Kamu Kirk In LIVE Eviction Episode (Recap)
Earlier tonight, August 20, 2026, CBS aired another new LIVE eviction episode for Big Brother’s current season 28, and another unlucky contestant did make their exit at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with footage of what took place in the house after the last POV ceremony that featured Devens using his Diamond Power Of Veto to take Dee off the eviction chopping block and replace her with Kamu.
Devens told the Diary Room aka private cams, “I felt like I had every right to do what I did to Kamu.” Haley told the private cams, “Kamu has been protecting Devens, and now he put him on the block. I just gotta worry about saving myself by winning the BB Blockbuster.”
Kamu told the private cams, “I’ve got to do what I need to do to stay here.” Dee told the private cams, “I literally owe Devens my entire life in this game, and we’ve got the votes to send Haley or Kamu home.”
Kamu told the private cams, “If I stay here, Devens is going up, but I can’t let them see that I’m angry.” Yash campaigned to save Kamu, but Melody told the private cams, “I’ve been wanting to get Kamu out for a while.” Drew told the private cams, “We’re keeping Angela no matter what.”
Kamu told the private cams, “If I stay, one of the two Survivors Dee and Devens are going up on that block, and one of them ain’t Surviving.”
Kamu tried to campaign for votes by saying he will take shots at the Icons: Dee, Devens and Angela. He told Mallory that Dee has a special bribe power. Mallory told the private cams, “That makes me a little worried.” Yash told Melody that Dee has a power and then he lied to them by saying Dee suggested Melody and Mallory go up on the block to try and turn them against Dee.
Kamu told Mallory and Melody, “It’s very clear that I have a target now.” Melody told the private cams, “I’m really torn after receiving all this information.” Mallory and Melody agreed that the Icons are using them as a shield. Mallory told the private cams, “I’m still leaning towards voting Kamu out, but I am having second thoughts.”
Next, Kamu, Angela and Haley competed in the BB Blockbuster comp for one last shot at safety. It was titled, “Space Race.” During it, they had to race to place floating, scrambling balls into their correct tube.
The first person to get 10 red balls in a tube, and 10 yellow balls in the other tube, won. Angela won it to claim safety. So, Kamu and Haley were given a few minutes to do some last-minute campaigning before giving their final plea speeches.
Then, the rest of the houseguests minus the HOH Yash cast their votes to evict. La La aka La Trice voted to evict Haley. Devens, Taylor, Mallory, Melody, Drew, Barrett, Angela and Dee all voted to evict Kamu. So, by a landslide vote of 8-1, Kamu was evicted from the Big Brother house tonight.
Kamu gave his exit interview with host Julie Chen-Moonves. Kamu told Julie, “I thought La La was my one vote to stay because she and Haley weren’t the best of friends. I chose to turn on Dee because she was spreading a lot of lies about me. I actually wanted to work with Dee originally, but I had to make different moves when she started lying.
I thought I maneuvered pretty well, but Deven’s Diamond POV got me. It was a good move. I love this game, and I would play it again in a heartbeat. I caught Devens in some lies prior. So, I had a feeling he was going to put me up. I have a new level of respect for all the past Big Brother players after actually being in that house.”
