New ‘Devil’ movie delivered good story with lots of thrills & suspense. Universal Pictures released their new horror/thriller flick “Devil” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it delivered a very interesting story, along with some good thrills and suspense scenes. The movie stars: Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend, Logan Marshall-Green, Bojana Novakovic, Jenny O’Hara, Bokeem Woodbine, and Jacob Vargas.

“Devil” movie revolved around a couple of people who all have one thing in common. They all have done very bad things in their past, and unfortunately,it was time for them to pay the piper so to speak. They all get trapped on an elevator for no real apparent reason. Security says that it’s in inspection mode, but the repair man says “no, it’s not.”

As the story moves along, the elevator starts experiencing blackouts. Then when the lights come back on,a person ends up dead. Eventually, security calls in detectives and firemen to handle the situation, but no one seems to really be able to do anything in time. As the firemen try and break through the wall, people on that elevator keep dropping like flies, and their backstories get revealed by the detective.

This continues until one person is left, and guess what, he ends up having the worst backstory of them all. Finally, the movie ends with a very dramatic, thrilling ending that reveals what has actually been happening and the Devil shows his face. I liked the movie. I thought it was very entertaining and interesting as it delivered sort of a mystery type setting with a supernatural twist.

The buildup was great, and moved along nicely, not giving away too much, but just enough to keep me wanting more. I gave it a B+ grade. “Devil” movie is in theaters now.
