America’s Got Talent September 8 Eliminated Akira, Jesse Joe, Lara D & More (Recap)
Earlier tonight, September 8, 2026, NBC aired a 3-hour episode for America’s Got Talent’s current season 21. It featured 2 hours worth of LIVE performances, followed by a LIVE results show and elimination.
The celebrity judges who were on hand were: Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara. Heidi Klum showed up to guest judge for Simon Cowell’s absence.
Tonight’s 3-hour event kicked off with another 11 acts hitting the stage to perform in the LIVE quarterfinals part 4 rounds. These acts were: “Young & Strange” magic act. Singer Lara D. Parkour athlete Rubén Roldán. Impressionist Cameron Logsdon.
Singing duo Bird and Byron. Danger act Tyrone & Margo. Singer Cesar Dias. Dance group Unitree. They got the Golden buzzer press from Sofia Vergara to get sent straight through to the finals. Singer Travis Garland. Japanese variety act Akira, and singer Jesse Joe.
After all of that, they went straight into the LIVE results portion. During it, host Terry Crews first revealed the top five vote-getters along with the acts who were in the bottom aka eliminated.
To start, Terry revealed that Young & Strange was still safe, and Cameron Logsdon got eliminated. Cesar Dias was still safe, and Tyrone & Margo got eliminated. Bird and Byron were still safe, and Akira got eliminated
Lara D was still safe, and Jesse Joe got eliminated. Travis Garland was still safe, and Rubén Roldán got eliminated. After that, Terry revealed that the top three vote-getting acts who advanced to the semifinals are: Cesar Dias, Young & Strange, and Travis Garland. So, Bird and Bryon and Lara D got eliminated during that reveal.
That means all the eliminated acts for tonight are: Cameron Logsdon, Tyrone & Margo, Akira, Jesse Joe, Ruben Roldan, Bird and Byron and Lara D.
Again, Cesar Dias, Young & Strange, and Travis Garland made it through to the semifinals while dance group Unitree made it straight through to the finals via Sofia Vergara’s press of the LIVE Show Golden Buzzer.
