Expedition X September 23 New Episode Not Airing. Season 12 Has Ended
According to a couple of unofficial sources that we found, we’re being told that the most recent episode 5 of Expedition X’s current season 12, which aired last Wednesday night, September 16, 2026, was indeed the season finale episode. So, the Discovery doesn’t have anymore new episodes to air for it tonight, September 23, 2026, and for the foreseeable future.
Please note that we couldn’t find any official confirmation that season 12 has actually ended, but from what we’re seeing on the Discovery Channel’s future primetime schedule, it may as well have. They don’t have any new episodes listed for Expedition X for as far out as I can do a search for, which is three weeks out.
They’re official schedule is telling us that tonight, they will be airing an episode of How to Catch a Dirtbag in the empty 8 pm central standard time slot. The episode is titled, “The Tip Jar Bandit.” Next Wednesday night, September 30, 2026, they are scheduled to air an episode of “Secrets of the Underground” in that 8 pm central time slot. That episode is titled, “Tesla’s Final Secrets.”
Then, on Wednesday night, October 7, 2026, they’re scheduled to air an episode of “Mysteries of the Abandoned” in that same 8 pm central standard time slot. It’s titled, “Hidden Hell of Angel Island.”
After that October 7, 2026 date, we advise you to keep checking your local listings to see what the Discovery Channel has got planned next, and we’ll update this post with an official season 12 ending report if we get one. For now though, it does appear that season 12 really did end with that last episode 5, and we do have unofficial confirmation of it.
Again, we do have official confirmation that the Discovery Channel isn’t airing any new episodes of Expedition X for at least the next three weeks and for an indefinite period of time if season 12 has really ended.
