New Vampire Academy Movie Delivered Pretty Good Action,Drama & More
New Vampire Academy movie delivered pretty good action, drama & more. The Weinstein Company released their new action/science fiction flick, “Vampire Academy ” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty entertaining. I really like Zoey Deutch as an actress.
She’s pretty funny and sexy as hell. The movie delivered plenty of comedy, drama, and some pretty good action scenes. However, i felt the plot as whole, to just be ok. It stars: Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy, and Ashley Charles.
The movie revolves around characters, Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch) and Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry). They are two 17-year-old girls who attend a hidden boarding school for Moroi (mortal, peaceful Vampires) and Dhampirs (half-vampire/half-human guardians). Rose is a rebellious Guardian-in-training and her best friend, Lissa, is a royal vampire Princess.
They’ve been on the run from the Academy for quite some time, but eventually get captured and returned to St.Vladamirs Academy, the very place where they believe their lives may be in the most jeopardy. From there, Lissa struggles to reclaim her status while Rose trains with her mentor, Dimitri (Danila Kozlovsky), who she also develops a crush on as the movie progresses. All this is done so that Rose can guarantee her place as Lissa’s guardian.
Rose sacrifices everything to protect Lissa from those who intend to exploit her from within the Academy walls and the Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires) who hunt her kind from outside its sanctuary. All the events of the movie, led up to another action-filled and semi suspenseful conclusion that definitely left it open for a sequel.
Again, I thought movie was just ok, plotwise. I liked the overall feel of it as it had that sort light comical feel, mixed with action, special effects, and that sort of thing. And I really liked the actors and characters. I gave it a solid B- grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
