Top critics gave new ‘Ramona and Beezus’ movie positive reviews. 20th Century Fox released their new Selena Gomez family flick “Ramona and Beezus” into theaters today,and most of the top movie critics appeared to like it ok,giving it mostly B ratings across the board. The movie stars: Selena Gomez, Joey King, John Corbett, Bridget Moynahan, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Duhamel,and Sandra Oh.
Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B rating. He said, “a sweet salute.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a B-. He stated, “Josh Duhamel brings some welcome exuberance to the role of the goofball suitor, Hobart.”
Lisa Schwarzbaum from Entertainment Weekly gave it a B-. She said, “this proud graduate of the School of Cleary Classics wishes that, like the young heroine herself, Ramona and Beezus dared more often to color outside the lines.”
Josh Bell at Filmcritic.com gave it a B. He said, “keeps the spirit of the author’s work intact, even while giving it a few modern upgrades.” Michael Rechtshaffen from the Hollywood Reporter gave it a C rating.
