Top critics gave new ‘Life As We Know It’ movie mediocre reviews. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new romantic/comedy flick “Life As We Know It” into theaters today,and the movie critics didn’t appear all that impressed with it,giving it mediocre reviews. The movie stars: Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas, Christina Hendricks,and Hayes MacArthur.
Ty Burr from the Boston Globe gave it a C rating. He said, “the kind of date-night fluff that Hollywood regularly cranks out to keep the suburban multiplexes and Netflix queues humming. Pure product.”
Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C-. He said, “So anyway, what happens in Life As We Know It? You’ll never guess in a million years. Never.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a positive B-. He said, “This is a change from what audiences have come to expect from the usual Heigl vehicle. She’s quicker-witted and warmer than usual here.”
Lisa Schwarzbaum at Entertainment Weekly gave it a D-. She stated, “disposable,and stinky,as loaded Pampers.” Bill Gibron at Filmcritic.com gave it a C. He said, “innocuous and bland.”
Kirk Honeycutt at the Hollywood Reporter gave it a C. He said, “An innocuous sitcom about two combative people trying to raise a child.” James Berardinelli from Reelviews gave it a C-. He stated, “egregiously manipulative.”
