New ‘Source Code’ Movie Delivered Unique Story,Great Drama & Twists
New ‘Source Code’ movie delivered unique story, great drama & twists. Summit Entertainment released their cool, new action/sci-fi type flick “Source Code” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was a pretty good film, mostly because of it’s unique storyline and interesting twist. The movie stars: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffrey Wright.
The flick revolved around character Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is a helicopter pilot that suddenly finds himself in someone else’s body on a train, talking to a girl named Christina Warren (Michelle Monaghan) who he apparently doesn’t know. He immediately starts running around, freaking everyone out until the bomb explodes.
Afterwards,he wakes up in a capsule to see that he’s still alive talking to a woman named Colleen Goodwin (Vera Farmiga) who is trying to give him instructions on what to do next time they send him back in time approximately 8 minutes ago on that same train.
His orders, are to find that bomb. Then find out who was behind the bomb,so that they can stop an expected future attempt from happening in just a few hours. With time running out, tensions heat up as a confused Colter Stevens isn’t doing a very good job for them. He does locate the bomb immediately, but after that he goes through one failed attempt after another, trying to find the culprit. He also tries to save the beautiful girl as well as finding what’s up with his own identity.
After much tribulation, he finally cooperates, and starts figuring some stuff out. It all leads up to a very dramatic, sort of funny conclusion as all the pieces come together, and Colter is allowed to go back in one last time. They also delivered one last twist that really shouldn’t have made sense, but they made it a reality.
It was pretty interesting to watch. Some scenes included Colter pissing off numerous people while trying to find the bomber,Colter punching the crap out of people he’s never met, seriously freaking that beautiful girl out,and more.
I thought it featured a good touch of comedy mixed with action, drama, and sci-fi. There was a lot of stuff going on this movie. It was never boring. I gave it an A grade. Follow us on Facebook for more movie news, and more by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
