New Percy Jackson 2,Sea of Monsters Movie Delivered Great Action,Special Effects & More
New Percy Jackson 2,Sea of Monsters movie delivered great action, special effects & more. 20th Century Fox released their new action/fantasy flick, “Percy Jackson 2: Sea Of Monsters” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was pretty entertaining, serving up non-stop action, great special effects, and more. It stars: Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith, Mary Birdsong, Yvette Nicole Brown, Missi Pyle, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Robert Maillet, and Zoe Aggeliki.
In the new flick, Camp Half-Blood gets attacked by Luke Castellan (Jake Abel), who announces his plans to destroy Mount Olympus. Percy’s mentor Chiron (Anthony Head), eventually discovers that Luke has poisoned the magic tree responsible for the barrier that protects Camp Half-Blood, which Percy learns was created out of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, who was killed by a cyclops.
This caused the camp to become vulnerable to enemy attacks as it weakened the barrier that protects it. Their only hope of saving the camp, was to find the Golden Fleece as it could heal the tree and restore the protective barrier. However, retrieving the fleece would be much easier said than done as it was guarded by a huge Cyclops monster that used it to lure satyrs, so he could eat them. However, he also had no problems munching on Half-Bloods as well.
They also ran into trouble with Luke, who wanted to raise Kronos, which was a very evil being that literally wanted to destroy any and everything, including all the half-bloods. Throughout the movie, Percy and the gang encountered wild adventures on the water and on land, which culminated in a huge conclusion that involved a major battle that caused Percy to come face to face in a major battle with Kronos to retrieve the Golden Fleece. It also capped off with a lead-in to a possible 3rd sequel.
Again, I thought the movie was highly entertaining ,throughout, with great and stunning special effects. The pace of the movie was pretty fast, so I never got bored. I gave it a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
