New Runner Runner Movie Delivered Great Drama,Storyline,Action, & More
New Runner Runner movie delivered great drama, storyline, action, & more. 20th Century Fox released their new drama/action flick, “Runner Runner” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty entertaining, serving up some good action, drama, and a pretty good storyline. It stars: Justin Timberlake, Ben Affleck, Gemma Arterton, and Anthony Mackie.
In the new flick, character , Richie Furst (Justin Timberlake) , tried to use his great poker skills to win his Princeton tuition, online. However, he ends up losing all his money to a cheating website in which he is able to prove by statistics. The website is owned by character, Ivan Block (Ben Affleck), and Richie eventually flies to Costa Rica to confront Ivan about the situation.
After being confronted, Ivan eventually gives Richie his money back, and gives him some lame, probably made up excuse that he found coders that coded the software, allowing them to cheat. After telling Richie, he fired the coders, Ivan offered Richie an opportunity to work for him and make millions of dollars a year.
Richie takes the job. However things start to go bad once Richie gets in deeper. It starts to get revealed that Ivan is stealing from players accounts, and is involved in some very dangerous, shiesty activities. Ivan also puts Richie in a situation that allowed him to get beat up pretty bad.
From there, Richie wants to get out, but quickly discovers he’s in too deep as the FBI is on to him,and won’t let him get back to the United States unless he helps them bust Ivan. Also, Ivan kidnaps Richie’s father to use for leverage to keep Richie in the game. If that weren’t enough, Ivan also put Richie’s name on a lot of their financial stuff, so that if he went down , Richie would get blamed as well.
This led to Richie working with some of Ivan’s own people to help take him down, along with the FBI. Again, the movie was pretty damn good. The plotline was just interesting enough to keep me intrigued the entire time. I thought Justin did a great job, and Ben Affleck plays a great bad guy. I gave the move a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned.
