New Homefront Movie Delivered Serious Action,Drama,Violence & More
New Homefront movie delivered serious action, drama, violence & more. Open Road Films released their new action/thriller flick, “Homefront” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was excellent as it served up a ton of serious action, drama, thrills, and more. It stars: Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, Frank Gillo, and Izabela Vidovic.
In the new flick , former DEA agent ,Phil Broker (Jason Statham), decides to retire to a small town with his young, 10-year old daughter,Maddy, and everything seems on the up and up. However, Maddy ends up kicking a male bullie’s ass at school, who’s parents happen to be related to Morgan ‘Gator’ Bodine (James Franco).
Bodine is a meth dealer and manufacturer that ends up digging up the dirt on Phil to find out that one of his undercover operations, involved him, snitching out a gang of drug traffickers led by Cyrus Hanks. Bodine contacts the very pissed off Cyrus to try and set up a deal with him that involved giving up Phil’s whereabouts in exchange for a little help trafficking some meth.
After the deals are final, Cyrus and company moved in for the attack on Phil at his house. However, Phil has been tipped off,and is totally ready for the fight with weapons in tow and all. This situation, of course, leads to a huge showdown that involved a major shootout between Phil and all of Cyrus’ crew. In the meantime, little Maddy nearly gets killed when trying to escape the madness, but is kidnapped ,instead, by Bodine’s girlfriend ,Sheryl Marie Mott (Winona Ryder).
From there, all hell broke loose when Phil finally tracked down Bodine with his kidnapped daughter, and it caused a very brutal conclusion that mostly involved Phil beating the ever-living shit out of Bodine. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this flick as it kept me intrigued for the entire run time.
Jason Statham was great as usual, always serving up the hardcore, very violent fight scenes. i mean, they were just really wicked. I gave the movie a solid A grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
