New Captain America 2 Movie Delivered Great Action,Suspense,Plot & More
New Captain America 2 movie delivered great action, suspense, plot & more. Marvel Studios and Disney Pictures released their new super hero/action flick, “Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was great, serving up a ton of great action, drama, very suspenseful conclusion, and more. It stars: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, and Maximiliano Hernández.
The new flick is set 2 years after the events of the huge Avengers flick of 2012. Steve Rogers aka Captain America is currently residing in Washington,D.C. He meets and befriends former Pararescue war veteran and PTSD counselor ,Sam Wilson aka The Falcon.
As the movie rolled along, we eventually saw Nick Fury get heavily ambushed and attacked by assailants disguised as police officers, led by a mysterious assassin called the Winter Soldier. After getting majorly injured, Fury is somehow able to escape and sneak into Steve’s apartment. Steve shows up, but unfortunately, it was only to watch Nick get shot through the window by the Winter Soldier, which eventually sets up Steve and the Winter Soldier’s first altercation where he actually catches Steve’s super shield with his strong bionic arm before escaping. Later, Nick Fury appears to die while in surgery.
Eventually, it’s revealed that senior S.H.I.E.L.D. official, Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford), is head of a crooked organization called HYDRA, and they’ve put a hit out on Captain America and anyone working with him as their ultimate plan is to use their newly-developed data-mining algorithm to identify individuals who might become future opponents to HYDRA’s plans. Then use new helicarriers to sweep the country, and eliminate these individuals with their satellite-guided guns.
Captain America and Black Widow recruit Sam to help them stop the HYDRA plan, and retrieve Sam’s old “Falcon” winged-flight exoskeleton suit. Once the team got all suited up and put the plan into full-motion, they converted a lot of the SHIELD crew onto their side by revealing what HYDRA was really up to. This then led to a huge action-filled conclusion that ended quite suspensefully with the Cap barely able to save the day and a huge showdown between the Cap and the Winter Soldier.
We also saw some crazy twists, since the Cap actually used to be best friends with the Winter Soldier aka Bucky Barnes. A person that we thought was dead, actually wasn’t dead at all, and so much more. It was great. The plotline was very intriguing for the entire runtime. I really liked all three of the main characters : Captain America, Black Widow, and Sam Wilson. They were fun to watch and just bad ass.
Scarlett Johansson got to do a lot more with the Black Widow character in this, so that was really cool to watch. I gave it a definite A+ grade. As a side note, there’s an additional scene after the initial closing credits that you’ll want to stick around for. It gives us our first look at Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in action for Avengers 2. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
