New James Bond Spectre Movie Delivered Great Action,Suspense,Plot & More
Columbia Pictures released their new James Bond 24 action flick, “Spectre” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was highly entertaining, delivering nonstop action and suspense along with an interesting plotline. It stars: Andrew Scott, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes.
In the new flick, James Bond, kicked things off by hunting down and killing two men that were trying to blow up a stadium. From there, Bond chased down one of the men, Marco Sciarra, who escaped from the building onto a helicopter, giving us a very suspenseful helicopter fight scene right out of the gate.
Bond eventually threw both the pilot and Marco off the helicopter after stealing Marco’s octopus ring. This crazy event caused the current M to take Bond off field duty. M is also in a power struggle with C, who is the head of the Joint Intelligence Service, which consisted of the recently merged MI5 and MI6.
C also wanted to create the “Nine Eyes” intelligence co-operation agreement between nine countries, and close down the ’00’ section in the process.
Of course, Bond goes against M’s orders and heads back into the field to hit up Rome and attend Marco’s funeral. After that, a few events led to Bond getting caught up in a wicked car chase scene that ended with Bond just deciding to parachute out of the car and letting the $3 million dollar vehicle sink to the bottom of a river!
After getting a tip off, Bond located Mr. White, a former member of Quantum, a subsidiary of the Spectre organization. White was dying of thallium poisoning. White told Bond to find his daughter,Dr Madeline Swann, who would take him to L’Americain, which would ,in turn, lead him to the organization.
Shortly after Bond found Madeline, she got kidnapped, and that whole ordeal ended with Bond rescuing her by literally finding a plane and hunting them down with it. Shortly after that, Q revealed to Bond that the ring he stole off Marco, contained digital files linking Oberhauser, the leader of the organization, and Bond’s previous missions. Swann let them know about Spectre, and that L’Americain is a hotel in Morocco.
Shortly after that, Bond got tortured by Oberhauser. While torturing Bond, Oberhauser informed him that C is part of Spectre, and he feeds all intelligence data straight to Spectre. Bond eventually escaped, via a bomb watch and destroyed Oberhauser’s entire facility.
From there, Bond and company closed things out with a plan to arrest C and stop the launch of Nine Eyes. The conclusion ended in dramatic and suspenseful fashion as Bond had to rescue Madeline, again, and escape an exploding building before it crushed the both of them. Then he had to hunt down Oberhauser to shoot him and his helicopter out of the sky before he got away.
Again, I really enjoyed watching this flick from beginning to end. It never had a dull moment. I thought Daniel Craig delivered another great Bond performance. Also, I swear they always have Christoph Waltz play the bad guy. He did a great job as Oberhauser. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade.
