NCIS Season 15 Is Bringing On A New Female Agent For Action,New Details
Recently, CBS put out a news article on their website revealing that we’re about to see a new female agent join the NCIS crew for the upcoming season 15. It turns out that the show has decided to hire actress Maria Bello to portray an NCIS agent that was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army and served two tours in Afghanistan.
Their article didn’t reveal the character’s name. So, I guess we’ll have to wait until later on or until she finally arrives on the show to get that intel. Adding to the character’s description, they said, “After joining NCIS, the character built her reputation as the agency’s premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second-guess and challenge Gibbs. So, there will be friction but also mutual respect. She is a positive force, mischievous and at times, acerbic.”
They say she will be a series regular and is currently scheduled to get introduced to the crew in the fourth episode. Executive Producers George Schenck and Frank Cardea had really positive things to say about Maria stating, “We have always been big fans of Maria Bello’s work and are excited to be introducing her as an agent who not only has a distinct talent, but also a unique relationship with Gibbs.”
Maria Bello’s acting resume includes roles in Law And Order: SVU, Prime Suspect, Touch, Grown Ups 2, Prisoners, Lights Out, Goliath, The 5th Wave,ER, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Coyote Ugly and many more titles. Her IMDB profile is quite long. She’s definitely got tons of experience so welcome her aboard.
In related news, we’re also hearing that former Anthony DiNozzo portrayer, Michael Weatherly, has revealed that he would definitely like to return to the show at some point. He recently gave an interview with Digitalspy.com and told them, “I absolutely see worlds where DiNozzo and other characters could pop up again. It is something I’m very keen to explore when the time is right.”
Currently, there are no reports of him actually returning anytime soon but that does give a lot of you DiNozzo fans a shred of hope. The big season 15 is set to premiere on Tuesday night, September 26,2017 at 7 pm central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned.
