Important Season 15 Information Confirmed About NCIS’ Donald “Ducky” Mallard Character
According to a recent report from the folks over at Buddy TV, fans of CBS’ hit drama/action series NCIS were very worried about actor David McCallum’s Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard’s future status.
Apparently, in this latest episode titled, “Exit Strategy” that aired this past Tuesday night, October 10,2017, there was a storyline that appeared to be setting up an exit for Ducky’s character.
Now, it has been confirmed that all you Ducky fans can calm down because Ducky will definitely be sticking around. Brian Dietzen who portrays character Dr. Jimmy Palmer hopped on his official Twitter account to deliver the reassuring news right after the “Exit Strategy” episode aired.
In it, he definitely confirmed that Ducky will be back, and that they’ve actually filmed a new scene together. He wrote, “Don’t be thrown too much. Ducky shall return. Just did a scene with David today.”
Buddy TV also pointed out that there are no reports that claim Ducky will be leaving the show anytime soon. Apparently, a lot of NCIS fans are a bit paranoid these days about all the regulars possibly exiting the show. This is due in part to Abby star Pauley Perrette just announcing that this season 15 will indeed be her last without giving any sort of rhyme or reason. She just stated that she was leaving.
In addition to Pauley’s recent statements, other original characters have left the show recently. They are: Sasha Alexander’s Caitlin Todd, Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David. There’s also been news that they’re cutting back on Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ action scenes this season due to poor health issues. We don’t know how true they are, but they’re out there.
In related news, the upcoming 4th episode is going to introduce a brand new female agent to the scene via Vance. Her name is NCIS Special Agent Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane. Judging from the recent preview clip that CBS recently put out, she’s going to deliver some very interesting scenes especially when it comes to Gibbs.
Jacqueline is described as being a forensic Psychologist that Vance lobbied to get transferred from California to the headquarters. It was previously reported that Jacqueline will challenge Gibbs.
The very first description that we got of Jacqueline from CBS, reads like this: “After joining NCIS, the character built her reputation as the agency’s premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second-guess and challenge Gibbs. So, there will be friction but also mutual respect. She is a positive force, mischievous and at times, acerbic.”
In one of Jacqueline’s scenes that she will be delivering in the new episode 4,she tells Gibbs, “You’ll like having me around.” Gibbs says, “Why is that?” Jacqueline says, “Because you enjoy a good fight.” Her scenes do look entertaining. She jokes around with Gibbs quite a bit too. However, I don’t think Gibbs likes it too much. We think he’ll come around though.
NCIS airs every Tuesday night at 7 pm central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned. Also, be sure to follow us on our NCIS Facebook page for more NCIS news by Clicking Here.
