New Celebrity Big Brother USA Update: Four More Celebrities Revealed To Be Interested
Hey, “Big Brother” fans. We’re back at you with another Celebrity Big Brother USA update. This time, our source is The Hollywood Reporter. They revealed that four more celebrities have expressed interest in competing in the new United States version.
The four new celebrities they mentioned are: former NSYNC band member Lance Bass, former “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” contestants Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiance Shawn Booth. Former MTV’s “The Hills” reality show star Spencer Pratt.
Kaitlyn Bristowe was the main lady in the 2015 version of The Bachelorette, and she and her fiance from the show Shawn Booth told The Hollywood Reporter that they want to do Celebrity Big Brother really bad. She also told them, “That’s the one show that we can think of that we’d want to go on after being on our kind of show.”
Kaitlyn revealed that she already has a strategy in mind for Big Brother stating, “We know what we would do. We were talking to Spencer and Heidi Pratt who did Celebrity Big Brother in the U.K. and were treated as one houseguest. We’re all for it. Do we have to apply?”
Kaitlyn also mentioned who her favorite Big Brother players are. They are: season 19 winner Josh Martinez. (She actually wants to be best friends with him.) Season 18 winner Nicole Franzel and Britney Haynes from seasons 12 and 14.
Spencer Pratt revealed that he definitely would love to do it and has actually been waiting for the USA to finally have their own version. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s the Willy Wonka golden ticket of reality TV. Who doesn’t want to be filmed 24/7 for CBS? That’s like dying and going to heaven.”
Additionally, he too revealed that he already has a Big Brother strategy planned out. He told them, “You can’t just go in there and be a villain. You need a strategy. You need to figure out who the strongest players are. Then take them out. You have to be able to adjust to what happens in the game.” So, it sounds like Spencer does have a pretty viable strategy for the Big Brother game.
Spencer also ran off his own personal wish list of celebrity players he’d like to see sign up. They are: Nene Leakes from “The Housewives of Atlanta”, Scott Disick from “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” O.J. Simpson, former “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush, Caitlyn and Brody Jenner from “MTV’s The Hills and Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and last season’s Big Brother runner-up, Paul Abrahamian.
Former NSYNC boy band member Lance Bass revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he thinks it’s about time the United States got their own version of Celebrity Big Brother, and that he would definitely be tempted to do it depending on who else was in the cast. He stated, “It’s about time! They ask me to do the British one every single year, but there’s no game to it. Depending on the cast, I might be tempted to go in the house because I really think I have a strategy to win the game.”
Lance also revealed an interesting story of playing a pretend game of Big Brother with season 10 winner and season 14 runner-up Dan Gheesling. Lance claims he’s the only one to ever get Dan out stating, “We created a Big Brother event at my house four years ago, and Dan and his wife played with us. I was the only person to ever get Dan out. I had to turn on him at the very end.”
The Hollywood Reporter also reports that Big Brother host Julie Chen said there are other NSYNC members that have shown interest in participating. She stated, “I won’t say names, but maybe more than one member of *NSYNC is trying to get in there.”
The Hollywood Reporter also spoke with the executive producer of Big Brother Allison Grodner, and she told them they’re getting a ton of celebrities that want to do the show! She stated,”We’ve had an overwhelming response from people who want to be on the show.”
Julie Chen echoed Allison saying, “They’re getting tons of calls from agents.” So, that does sound very interesting. An important note they pointed out is that Celebrity Big Brother is going to be a much shorter season than the regular one. Maybe 30 to 45 days instead of a full 90 days.
Julie Chen said that means we’ll probably see a more intense season from the celebs since they have less time to do what they need to do. She stated, “It’s going to be more intense than what you’re used to seeing because it’s going to be concentrated. Picture everything about Big Brother, but nonstop action because it’s going to be on a fast-forward button.”
As previously reported by the Christian Post, other celebrities that are rumored to possibly participate are: rock stars Sebastian Bach and Vince Neil, Model and former “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville, Professional skateboarder and Jacka** movie star Bam Margera, Comedian Kathy Griffin, actor Neil Patrick Harris and actor Ryan Lochte.
Then last but most certainly not least, the people over at Bigbrotherus.com have recently been reported that actor Norman Reedus who plays the highly popular character Daryl Dixon on AMC’s hit drama/horror series “The Walking Dead” is rumored to be interested in participating!
They went on to reveal that Norman would have some stipulations that would need to be met before playing. They said he would be interested in playing Celebrity Big Brother if the win is not just about getting money for himself. He would only do it if the winnings went towards a good cause. In other words, if he’s able to donate it to a charity of his choice which we think is the format of Celebrity Big Brother. So, that certainly wouldn’t be a problem.
.
The other concern that Norman might have is that being on a show of this nature where people often find themselves in a position where they need to lie, be sneaky, manipulative and so on and so forth might affect his image or how he’s perceived by the public.
They also mentioned that Norman does still have a busy schedule outside of filming “The Walking Dead.” He has to make certain appearances and take care of a son. From there, they went on to state that it’s still unclear if the producers of Celebrity Big Brother have actually reached out to Norman to do the show. So, this is a very raw rumor at best.
As always, we do have to state that none of these celebrities have been officially confirmed by CBS to compete in the celebrity edition. These are just all rumors and speculation at this point. We imagine that at this stage, CBS is probably going over the list of all their possibilities ,and trying to sort all of them out.
Hopefully, some official news will start popping up in maybe late November or early December 2017. However, that might even be too early if they decide to air this in February or something. Big Brother is known for keeping things under wraps until it’s really close to the time it’s supposed to start airing.
Update for October 30,2017: Perez Hilton of Perezhilton.com recently expressed that he’s very interested in competing on the first ever United States edition of Celebrity Big Brother. He did it in a very entertaining fashion too.
He actually created a video on his official Youtube channel. In it, he gave the exact reasons why he thinks he should be picked to be on the show. He also pointed out why some of the other celebrities that have been rumored shouldn’t be on the show.
He took a couple of shots at former NSYNC boy band member Lance Bass. He said Lance is a really nice guy, but is just way to vanilla or boring for Big Brother. He also took a shot at the Bachelor and Bachelorette folks like Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiance Shawn Booth. Perez said they’re really hot, but they don’t have much going on upstairs (points at head).
On the other hand when describing while he should be on the show, Perez pointed out that he did the United Kingdom version of Celebrity Big Brother and was the most talked about celebrity in the history of Celebrity Big Brother on social media. He said it was a definite fact according to their own analytics expert that went into the house.
He went on to tell CBS that he would “deliver” that same kind of entertainment to the United States version because he’s fabulous, polarizing and controversial. He said he will always “deliver.” He also said that CBS is not going to be able to get these big A-list names they’re hoping for. And even if they were able to land a C-lister, they would probably suck.
Perez was very confident or arrogant whichever way you want to interpret it. The one thing that is for sure is that we did find him very entertaining and funny which we think he would be on the show. You guys can check out his video on Youtube by Clicking Here.
