Happy Thursday Pokemon Go fans. We’ve got some new and exciting intel to share with you guys in this report. It turns out that a brand new community day is coming up in February 2019, and it will feature some new Pokemon Swinub activity.
According to the folks over at Gamespot.com,the date for the February 2019 Pokemon Community Day has been announced to take place on on Saturday,February 16, 2019. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your video game calendars. The upcoming February 2019 community day is going to offer up some new Ice- and Ground-type Pokemon Swinub.
What that means is that throughout the February 2019 community day event, Swinub will spawn much more frequently in the wild than it normally does. Based on previous Community Days, players will presumably have a chance of encountering a Shiny Swinub during this new community day event.
Players that encounter any Swinub that evolves into its final form Mamoswine up to an hour after the Community Day ends, will learn a special move. However, Pokemon Go’s developer Niantic has not yet confirmed what the special move will be.
Gamespot pointed out that Mamoswine is one of the new, evolved forms first introduced in the Pokemon series’ fourth-generation titles. In order to obtain it, players will need to have a Sinnoh Stone. One of the ways to get a Sinnoh stone is by participating in trainer battles.
Niantic has reportedly stated that players will get a chance to earn up to five Sinnoh Stones by battling other players. Players will also receive five rewards per day from Trainer Battles during the Community Day weekend.
Additionally, players will get triple the normal amount of Stardust for capturing Pokemon during February’s Community Day. Any Lure modules that players use during the February Community Day event will stay active for three hours instead of their regular 30-minute duration.
The February 2019 Community day event is scheduled to last for just three, short hours. Also, it will start at different times in certain parts of the world. We took the liberty of providing the time for the different time zones below.
