Pokemon Go Is Launching A New, Limited Time Event To Catch Special Clamperl Water Type Pokemon
Hey, Pokemon Go fans. We’ve got some exciting news for you guys in this latest article. It turns out that Pokemon Go has a new, limited-time event in store for you guys. According to the official Pokemongolive.com site , this latest event will give players the chance to encounter the water-type Clamperl Pokemon!
Comicbook.com pointed out that the Clamperl can evolve into either Huntail or Gorebyss depending on which evolutionary item they’re holding as they level up. Earlier today, February 19, 2019, the Pokemongolive official blog went on to explain that players will be given an opportunity to acquire field research tasks that ultimately leads to an encounter with the Clamperl Pokemon. Players will be able to spin the photo disc at nearby Pokestops to get their hands on the important field research tasks.
They also said that water-type Pokemon Krabby and Wailmer will appear stating, “While you’re completing research, keep an eye out for other Water-type Pokémon, such as Krabby and Wailmer!” The PokemonGolive website also revealed some bonuses and other things that will be featured during this limited time event.
Players will get a 2x Stardust bonus for every Water-type Pokemon they catch during the event. Water-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. Again, Limited Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Completing the Limited Research tasks will award you encounters with Clamperl.
Clamperl might clam up during Limited Research, so exploring is key! As long as players have collected the Limited Research during the event window, they will be allowed to complete it at any time. Players will have to move on to many PokéStops in order to get new Field Research tasks and encounter as many Clamperl as possible.
Now, for the really important part, which is the date of this event. It’s scheduled to take place this Saturday, February 23, 2019. The times differ for different parts of the country. In Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, the times will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) (GMT +0)
In the Americas and Greenland, the times will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (GMT ?8). In the Asia-Pacific, the times will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time (GMT +9) on February 24, 2019.
The people over at Comicbook.com provided some additional information about this event. Unlike in the main series games, Clamperl will have a random evolution. That means players won’t have any control over whether it evolves into Clamperl or Gorebyss.
Also, it has been confirmed by Pokemon Go’s developer Niantic that the Clamperl will also appear in the wild after this limited-time event is over. So, if any of you guys miss out on the event, you’ll still get another crack at getting your hands on the Clamperl at some point in the future. However, the best chance at catching the Clamperl will be to participate in this limited time even this weekend.
