Former ‘Once Upon A Time’ Emma Swan Star Jennifer Morrison Is About to Star In A New TV Show

Hey, “Once Upon A Time” fans. We’ve got some great news for those of you who were fans of the former Emma Swan actress Jennifer Morrison. It turns out that she has landed a new TV show gig for a show that CBS is going to introduce!

According to the folks over at TV Guide, Jennifer is going to revisit her medical drama roots in this new show which is currently called, “Under The Bridge.” CBS has approved a pilot episode for it. So technically, the show is in limbo land until CBS orders a first season. But this is a start for Jennifer’s road back to television.

TV Guide pointed out that Jennifer is no stranger to medical dramas because she played character Dr. Allison Cameron on a show called House M.D. for six seasons. Now, she will suit up as surgeon character named Caitlin Lancaster in this new “Under The Bridge” TV show.

Jennifer Morrison’s Caitlin Lancaster character description reads like this, “A surgeon returning to work after her embattled husband is voted out of the medical practice they built with some colleagues.”

Jerry Bruckheimer is the executive producer for this new Under The Bridge TV show. The script was written by Rina Mimoun. It will also star actor David Ajala.

The folks over at Variety.com provided some additional details. Their description for Jennifer’s character is a little bit longer than the one we got from TV Guide.

Variety’s description reads like this, “A cardiothoracic surgeon who has managed to be ambitious without offending anyone, a skill-set one acquires as a woman. Curious, open, but never naive, Caitlin is forced to return to work after a self-imposed sabbatical when her husband is voted out of the medical practice they created together with their group of best friends.”

They go on to say that the show will revolve around this intense scandal that rocks Caitlin’s medical practice, and she will have to rise to the occasion and spearhead an effort to mend both her medical practice and her own marriage.

Actor David Ajala is going to play a character named Dan in this new medical drama. The Dan character is described as being “A gorgeous, dry and somewhat broken man who works hard for everything except sex. Back in the day, he hoped that Caitlin would end up with him, but she married his best friend Michael instead.

Hmmm, Variety’s description makes this show sound so much more intense than the description that TV Guide provided. Who knows? This could be the next big drama for Jennifer Morrison. Currently, there’s no intel on when this new pilot will debut. We imagine it might air at some point during CBS’ 2019-2020 season. We’ll just have to wait and see. CBS should deliver an official air date announcement in the not-too-distant future.

Since leaving “Once Upon A Time,” Jennifer showed up in a remake movie called “Superfly.” She played a dirty cop in it, and she was great. Any of you Jennifer Morrison fans should definitely check that one out if you haven’t already.

Alright guys. How do you feel about the way Jennifer Morrison’s new “Under The Bridger” medical show sounds. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
