‘The Voice’ December 17, 2019 Jake Hoot Won It All In The Finale)

Hey, “The Voice” fans. Tonight, December 17, 2019, the finals of the current season 17 of The Voice did indeed air, and a winner was revealed from the final four contestants: Katie Kaden of Team Legend, Jake Hoot of Team Kelly, Ricky Duran of Team Blake and Rose Short of Team Gwen.

All The judges: Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani were, of course, on the scene to witness the glorious final moment.

Tonight’s LIVE finale show kicked off with Alex Guthrie, Will Breman, Max Boyle and Shane Q returning to the stage to sing “Gimme Some Lovin.’”

Right after that,country music group Lady Antebellum hit the stage to perform their latest single, “What If I Never Get Over You.” Next, they showed a video package that featured Kelly Clarkson with her kids.


Shortly after that, The Black Eyed Peas hit the stage with reggae star J. Balvin and LED dance group Illuminate to perform a new song called, “RITMO (Bad Boys For Life.”

Next, Katie Kaden hopped on stage with former American Idol runner up Adam Lambert, and they sang a song called, “Believe.”

After that, Rose Short hit the stage with five-time Grammy award winning gospel superstar Yolanda Adams to sing the song called, “In the Midst of it All.”

Next, they brought back Kat Hammock, Marybeth Byrd, Cali Wilson and Gracee Shriver to perform the song, “Neon Moon.” Right after that, Dua Lipa arrived on stage to perform her hit dance song, “Don’t Stop Now.”

After that,Grammy-winning blues/rock guy Gary Clark Jr. arrived on stage with Ricky to sing, “Pearl Cadillac.” Next, last season’s The Voice winner Maelyn Jarmon hit the stage to sing a holiday classic song called,”Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

Right after Maelyn did her thing, Little Big Town hopped on stage with Jake to perform their new song called “Over Drinking.”

Shortly after all of that, singing star Jennifer Hudson hit up The Voice stage to sing the song, “Memories” from her new movie titled, “Cats.”

Next, they brought on Hello Sunday, Myracle Holloway and Joanna Martinez to sing a version of the song called, “Keep Me Hanging On.”

Right after those talented ladies finished up their set, Luke Combs got on stage to perform his new hit song called,”Even Though I’m Leaving.”

Finally, at this point, it was time for host Carson Daly to reveal the winner of this season between the final four singers: Katie Kaden of Team Legend, Jake Hoot of Team Kelly, Ricky Duran of Team Blake and Rose Short of Team Gwen.

Rose Short of Team Gwen ended up taking the 4th place spot. Then Carson revealed that Katie Kaden of Team Legend got third place, which left Ricky Duran and Jake Hoot as the final 2 this season.

From there, Carson revealed that Jake did indeed receive more votes than Ricky, which means Jake is the winner of this 17th season of The Voice!

Ricky is a very respectable runner up. Much congrats to Jake Hoot. He has won a record deal with Republic, and a $100,000 dollars! That’s a nice payday for him. Let’s hope he invests it wisely.

We imagine that the next,new “The Voice” season 18 is due out in the Spring of 2020. If that is how things will work out, we will definitely see you then to do this all over again.

Oh, wait a minute. We have just been informed that The Voice season 18 is indeed scheduled to start up on Monday night, February 24, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on NBC. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.

One other piece of big news is that singing star Nick Jonas of the famous Jonas Brothers group will be replacing Gwen Stefani on the judge’s panel.

It’s reported that Gwen is taking a break from The Voice to continue her Las Vegas shows at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. Her line of shows out there is aptly titled,”Just a Girl.” They will wrap up in May 2020. So, Gwen might return for season 19 of The Voice. Who knows?

    I felt the final two were right on the money. Ricky and Jake were the better of the final foursome in my opinion and more relevant to audiences of today. My first pick would have been Ricky but Jake was also very good.
