New Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Spoilers For September 30, 2021 Premiere Episode 1 Revealed

Hey, Grey’s Anatomy fans. Welcome to the brand new season 18! We know it’s been a long, 3-month wait for you guys, but the wait is finally over. The brand new, premiere episode 1 of the new, 18th season is airing tonight, September 30, 2021, and we’ve got a couple of spoiler scoops for it.

The wonderful ABC folks gave us a couple of new, official teaser scoops for the new episode 1 via their official episode 1 press release. So, that’s what we’ll be using as a source for this spoiler session. Let’s get into it.

To start, ABC revealed that this brand new, premiere episode 1 of Grey’s Anatomy’s new 18th season is officially titled, “Here Comes the Sun.”

It sounds like episode 1 will feature some very intense, dramatic, interesting and emotional scenes as the Grey Sloan doctors deal with a fireworks patient. Bailey runs into issues with finding new doctors to hire. Owen and Teddy look to advance their relationship. Meredith meets a dynamic doctor from her mother’s past and more.


We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the fireworks patient situation. It turns out that the Phoenix Fair will be going on in this episode to celebrate the city’s rebirth after the COVID scare. During it, the doctors over at Grey Sloan will end up treating a patient that had an encounter with illegal fireworks.

ABC’s official description for this fireworks patient reads like this, “As the city of Seattle revels at the Phoenix Fair celebrating the city’s rebirth post-COVID, the Grey Sloan doctors treat a patient who encounters illegal fireworks.”

The second spoiler scoop reveals that Bailey will be in the midst of trying to hire some new doctors. However, it’s not going to be so easy as she will have a really hard time trying to find any that are the right fit.

ABC’s description for this latest Bailey debacle tells us, “Bailey has her sights set on hiring new doctors, but she’s having trouble finding viable options.”

The 3rd spoiler teaser reveals that Owen and Teddy will be up to some serious-sounding activities in this episode as they will be busy trying to take their relationship to new heights.

ABC’s description for this latest Owen and Teddy storyline reads like this, “Owen and Teddy attempt to take the next step in their engagement.”

The 4th and last teaser description for this new episode 1 lets us know that Meredith will certainly be in action at some point. When we see her, she’s going to get a surprise opportunity, which turns out to be meeting a dynamic doctor from her mother’s past.

ABC’s description for this latest Meredith plotline reads like this, “Meredith has a surprising opportunity when she meets a dynamic doctor from her mother’s past.”

Episode 1 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Kate Burton as character Ellis Grey and Peter Gallagher as character Dr. David Hamilton.

ABC’s press release confirmed that the new, premiere episode 1 of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season 18 is indeed scheduled to air tonight, September 30, 2021 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
