Judges: Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were back in action to serve up another round of critiques and scores.
Tonight’s theme was 90s night. So, all the couples danced to songs from the 90s. Tonight’s episode kicked off with a special performance from top 90s groups Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. They performed “Whatta Man” while the pro dancers served up some choreography to it.
Next, Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater got the performances going with a Salsa routine to “Barbie Girl” song. Afterwards, Len said, “This was so much fun to watch. It was full of rhythm and clever tricks.” Derek said, “I saw a few awkward moments, but your confidence was there.”
Bruno said, “This performance was plastic fabulous, and the choreography and structure were like a sitcom set to music with the characterizations coming alive.” Carrie Ann said, “You nailed the Barbie part, but then you were a little skippy during the salsa part.”
Carrie Ann gave Trevor & Emma an 8 score, Len a 9, Derek an 8 and Bruno a 9 for a 34 score out of a possible 40 score.
Shangela and Gleb Savchenko delivered a Samba dance to “Spice Up Your Life” song. Afterwards, Derek said, “This performance was well done, but the footwork was a little sloppy.” Bruno said, “You had so much fire down below that you erupted, but with all that power, you lost a little control.”
Carrie Ann said, “That was lit!” Len said, “You come out and always give it everything. Unfortunately, you did lose control of the footwork.”
Carrie Ann gave Shangela & Gleb a perfect 10 score, Len a 9, Derek a 9 and Bruno a 9 for a 37 score.

This performance had power and polish with interesting choreography.” Derek said, “I was deeply moved by you shutting off the music. You’re also a strong partner for Britt.” Bruno said, “The world is proud of you. We felt the sound of silence, and we were all mesmerized.”
Carrie Ann gave Daniel & Britt a perfect 10 score, Len a 9, Derek a 10 and Bruno a 10 for an excellent 39 score.
Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev delivered a Contemporary routine to “Ironic” song. Afterwards, Len said, “I don’t think this style of dance matches you very well. You’re more extroverted and the routine was more internal.” Derek said, “I could feel the emotion.” Bruno said, “This routine could have been more fluid, but it was still great.” Carrie Ann said, “Thank you for opening up, and there were moments of beauty where you let go.”
Carrie Ann gave Heidi a 9 score, Len an 8, Derek a 9 and Bruno 9 for a 35 score.
Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy served up a Sambadance to “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” Afterwards, Derek said, “You sell it everytime.” Bruno said, “I have been hit by a sex bomb. Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki danced a Tango number to “What Is Love” song. Afterwards, Bruno said, “I saw that you tried to do everything right, but it was too skippy for a tango. It should glide.” Carrie Ann said,”I liked the way Koko’s choreography pushed you, but your technique needs work, and I wanted to see more of your fun personality.”
Len said, “I liked seeing a lot of you in hold. However, you do still have a long way to go.” Derek said, “I loved your charisma even though the dance was a little to steppy.”
Carrie Ann gave Vinny & Koko an 8 score, Len a 7, Derek a 7 and Bruno a 7 for a 29 score.
Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas performed a Tango dance to “Song 2.” Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “If you were a painting, you would be a Picasso. You pushed yourself hard with all the light and shade of a masterpiece.”
