Gotham Knights Season 1 June 27, 2023 Episode 13 Is The Finale. Season 2 Not Happening
Hey, “Gotham Knights” fans. We hope you totally enjoyed the heck out of episode 13 tonight, especially since it will indeed be the last episode of Gotham Knights not only for its current season 1, but forever.
That’s right, guys. Unfortunately, we have learned from the folks over at
Deadline.com that The CW folks don’t want to hold on to this Gotham Knights show. They did not give it a season 2 renewal. Therefore, it is officially canceled.
Deadline.com went on to say that Gotham Knights did perform well for The CW. However, The CW now has a new business model they’re trying to implement under the new ownership, and Gotham Knights isn’t fitting into that new business model. Even the president of The CW’s Entertainment department Brad Schwartz said Gotham Knights did very well for them stating, “We love all those shows, and they all do very well for us in different ways.”
According to the LIVE Neilsen ratings, Gotham Knights season 1 averaged 405,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.07 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 12, which aired last Tuesday night, June 20, 2023, managed to draw in 284,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.04 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 609,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 12 with the 284,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episodes were episodes 1 and 6. They both tied for first place with a 0.11 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 11 and 12. They both tied for last place with a 0.04 ratings score.
