The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Season 1 October 15, 2023 Episode 6 Is The Finale. Season 2 Is Happening
Hey,”The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed the heck out of episode 6 tonight, especially since it was indeed the very last episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s current premiere season 1. That means you guys won’t get to see another new episode of it for quite some time. Only God knows when since the actors are still on strike right now.
However, here is some good news for you gys. We can officially tell you, right now, that AMC did officially renew The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for a brand new season 2. They actually did it way back in July 2023 before the first episode of season 1 even aired. So, they were quite confident that they wanted to keep it around.
According to Deadline.com , The season 2 renewal took place with the renewal of their other Walking Dead spin-off series titled, “Dead City” with character Maggie as the main star.
During the season 2 renewal announcement, the president of entertainment for AMC Studios and AMC Networks Dan McDermott had some great things to say about both shows. He stated, “This next chapter in the Walking Dead Universe continues to thrive with a terrific inaugural season for Dead City and highly anticipated new journey for fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon coming in September.
We can’t wait to bring Dead City fans back to the epicenter of Manhattan for more zip-lining action with Maggie and Negan. And, ahead of its debut, we’re thrilled to double down on Daryl as we bring the apocalypse to France, transforming Notre Dame, Pont du Gard and other iconic locales into an apocalyptic landscape unlike anything we’ve seen before.”
Additionally, Deadline.com is reporting that character Maggie is going to reunite with Daryl at some point in the brand new season 2. So, it’ll be like the original Walking Dead show was never really canceled. It’s just been reincarnated, guys.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 1 averaged 638,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.10 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 5, which aired last Sunday night, October 8, 2023, managed to draw in 628,000 LIVE viewers, and a 0.10 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 4 with 719,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 2 with 564,000 LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.13 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 2 and 3. They both tied for last place with a 0.09 ratings score. The show probably got at least double those numbers if you include the numbers from the streaming platforms.
Currently, there’s no details for how many episodes the new season 2 will feature, or an actual premiere date. It’s believed that it will premiere sometime in 2024.
