48 Hours December 23, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. Unfortunately, we have to tell you that the CBS people are not airing a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, December 23, 2023. That’s right, guys. CBS is going to make you wait a little while longer to see the next, new episode of 48 Hours.
Yep, according to the TV guide listings, CBS does plan to finally air a new episode of 48 Hours next Saturday night, December 29, 2023 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly look for a new episode to air next Saturday night.
In the meantime, CBS is not leaving you totally empty-handed tonight, especially for those of you who might not have caught this repeat episode during its original airing. Yep, CBS is delivering a repeat episode of 48 Hours tonight. This particular episode originally aired way, way back on May 2, 2020. It’s titled, “What Ever Happened to Mary Day?”
In this repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a 13 year old girl named Mary Day. She disappeared all of a sudden from her family’s Seaside, California home way back in 1981. What’s really weird is there was no record of her parents ever reporting her missing. Her sister was the one who reported her missing to the police. During the investigation , major twist occurred. Years later, a woman in Arizona claimed to be her! American reporter Maureen Maher handled the reporting duties for this case and episode.
CBS’ official description for this repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “Mary Day was 13 years old in 1981 when she vanished from her family’s Seaside, Calif., home. What’s shocking is that there is no record of her parents ever reporting her missing.
Years later, after her sister got police on the case, they believed Day was murdered. But then there was a turn no one saw coming. Maureen Maher and 48 HOURS investigate the strange case of the missing teenager, the police investigation years later, and a woman in Arizona who claimed to be her in an encore of “What Ever Happened to Mary Day?”
If any of you guys happened to have missed this repeat episode of 48 Hours when it originally aired, you might still want to kick it with CBS tonight and check it out. If you did already see this repeat episode, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to make some other plans for tonight at your earliest convenience.
Again, CBS confirmed that 48 Hours is a repeat episode tonight, December 23, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit the air, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
