New 20/20 January 19, 2024 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that another new episode of 20/20 will indeed hit your TV sets tonight, January 19, 2024. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 13th one for 20/20’s current season 46, and we’ve got some new preview intel for it.
The ABC people did put out an official press release for tonight’s new, January 19, 2024 episode 13. So, that is what we’ll be working with as a source for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First thing’s first. ABC let us know that this new episode 13 of 20/20 season 46 is officially labeled/titled, “There Is a Monster in Me.” In tonight’s new episode 13, the 20/20 team will take a deep look at a story about a Stephenville, Texas woman named Susan Woods.
Way, way back in 1987, she was found naked and dead right inside of her own house. The tight-knit community immediately resorted to placing the blame on her estranged husband Michael Woods. However, the fingerprints that were found at the crime scene didn’t match Micheal’s fingerprints. That caused the case to go cold.
20 years later, they reopened this case with a new detective, and this detective was able to track down a match for the fingerprints at the crime scene. They belonged to a man named Scott Hatley. He was a local man with a history of violence, but the investigators still couldn’t get a motive for Scott’s involvement until 2022. They found writings about his life and crimes in a trailer next to his dead body. ABC News contributor Chris Connelly handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
This episode features interviews with Michael Woods, Susan Woods’ husband; Shannon Myers Barrientos, who played a key role in cracking the case; and Don Miller, a retired lieutenant and the detective who solved Susan Woods’ murder.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, January 19, 2024 episode 13 reads like this, “WHEN A WOMAN IS FOUND MURDERED, HER KILLER’S WRITTEN CONFESSION GIVES INSIGHT INTO THE MIND AND MOTIVES OF A MURDERER. When a woman is killed in small town Texas…a secret diary reveals the killer’s motive. ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 13 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, January 19, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
