60 Minutes June 16, 2024 Repeat Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back at you with another preview session for CBS’ 60 Minutes. Yep, as previously reported, the show is currently in its offseason. So, CBS will be dishing up episodes that contain segments that have already aired in the past hence they are repeat episodes.
CBS served up an official press release for the repeat episode that they are airing tonight, June 16, 2024. So, we will certainly run it by you guys right now. Let’s get to it.
This episode contains a total of three repeat segments. The first repeat segment is titled, “AGENCY IN CRISIS.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Correspondent Cecilia Vega reports on the nation’s federal prison system, long considered broken and opaque, and goes inside a women’s prison in Aliceville, Ala., where she speaks with inmates who candidly share their concerns about the institution.
Vega interviews the woman charged with reforming the Federal Bureau of Prisons, director Colette S. Peters, as her agency faces a major staffing crisis, aging and deteriorating prison infrastructure and an alarming pattern of abuse that has persisted for years.”
The second repeat segment is titled, “THE GODFATHER OF AI.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Scott Pelley interviews the “Godfather of AI,” Geoffrey Hinton, who is speaking out about the promise and risks of advanced artificial intelligence his research helped make possible.”
The 3rd and final repeat segment for this episode is titled, “THE UNDERBOSS.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Reporting from backstage of a Bruce Springsteen concert in Rome, correspondent Jon Wertheim profiles longtime guitarist and musical director for Springsteen and the E Street Band – and ultimate wingman – Steven Van Zandt.
Wertheim talks with Van Zandt, now 73 years old, about growing up in New Jersey with his best friend, Springsteen, the success of the E Street Band, his involvement with political activism, the shifting state of music and what makes him a true American original.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes is indeed scheduled to show up with another repeat episode tonight, June 16, 2024, starting at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
