The Bachelorette August 26, 2024 Eliminated No One (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, August 26, 2024, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2024 edition with headliner Jenn Tran hit the air. This time, we got to see the overnight dates portion of this season.

It kicked off with Jenn showing up in Hawaii for the fantasy suite dates. She talked with Bachelor Nation alum Molly Mesnick before getting started. Molly told her, “This is the most important week of this experience.” Then, Jenn talked about her final three guys: Devin, Marcus and Jonathon.

Jenn said she and Jonathon have had exponential growth recently, but it takes him time to get vulnerable with her. She said, “Marcus has always been someone I’ve seen a future with, but I feel like I’ve been putting in more effort than he has.”

She said of Devin, “I feel so much closer to him after meeting his family, but I’m not quite in love with him yet. I’m getting closer though.” After that, we got footage of Devin and Jenn’s fantasy suite date. They started it off by taking a helicopter ride over Hawaii.

Jenn told the private cams, “I’m almost in love with Devin, and this experience feels right with him.” They talked on a beach. Devin told her, “I want to have a normal family life.” Jenn told the private cams, “I’m really trying to be cautious with Devin. I’m waiting for my feelings to catch up to my head.”

Devin told her, “I know why I love you because you make me feel so comfortable and secure.” Jenn told Devin, “I’m trying everyday to get there with you,” and they kissed. Devin told the private cams, “I wanna hear Jenn tell me she loves me back.” Jenn told the private cams, “With Devin, it may be hard for me to accept a good thing.”

During the second half, Devin and Jenn talked over dinner. Devin told her, “I’m very confident in how I feel for you.” Jenn told Devin, “You seem too good to be true to the point that it almost makes me want to run from it. I know it’s not a healthy way to think about things. We have this comfortability and so much more. It seems unreal.”

Devin told Jenn, “I am in love, and I’m ready for an engagement. I would love to call you my wife, and I’m excited about that.” Jenn said, “I want you to know how thankful I am to have you. I can’t tell you how much you mean to me.” Jenn told the private cams, “I hope to fall in love with Devin soon.” She gave him the fantasy suite card. They both agreed to go. Once there, they kissed on the bed until the cams cut out.

We got footage of Jenn and Devin waking up together. They made a toast to each other over breakfast. Jenn told Devin, “I can definitely see a future with you,” and they kissed. Devin told the private cams, “There’s no more love that I can give without hearing it back. If she turns around and says, ‘I love you’ to someone else, I would be crushed.”

Next, we got footage Jenn and Jonathon’s 1 on 1 date. They greeted each other with big hugs and kisses. They went to eat some Hawaiian snacks. They visited some local shops. At one point, they talked in front of a waterfall. They made a toast to each other, and they kissed. Then took a swim, which led to more kissing.

During the second half of their date, they talked some more. Jenn told Jonathon, “Your family made me feel more confident in our relationship.” He told her, “The fact that they wanted to listen to you was amazing.”

She talked about her past anxiety issues she had as a kid and what she wants to teach her kids. Jonathon loved what she had to say. He told her he wants to have a mixed family and that he’s falling for her. She gave him the fantasy suite card. They both agreed to go. So, off they went to the fantasy suite.

Jonathon told the private cams, “I’m falling for Jenn. I have no doubt that Jenn is my person. I’m so in love.” Jenn told the private cams, “Being with Jonathon is easy. I always felt like I could be myself with him. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.”

Next, we got footage of Jenn and Jonathon waking up together. Jenn told Jonathon, “I can’t believe I’m in bed with mummy man from night one.” They had a good laugh about that. They toasted over breakfast as well.

Meanwhile, Devin was seen telling the private cams, “I feel like I’ve been giving out love that I haven’t been getting back. If she says, ‘I love you’ to someone else, that would kill me inside.”

Marcus was seen telling host Jesse Palmer he’s looking to hear Jenn tell him why she’s selected him this entire time and exactly what she sees in him.

Next, we got footage of Marcus and Jenn’s 1 on 1 date. They greeted each other with hugs and kisses. They went on a boat trip and talked. She told him, “I had blast, visiting your family. My feelings for you grew during it.” Marcus said, “I feel closer to you after that.” Then, they went scuba diving.

During the second half of Jenn and Marcus’ date, Jenn told the private cams, “I am in love with Marcus. So, I need for him to not shy away from how he feels about me.” They talked. He told her, “The last rose ceremony kind of got to me because I was the last one to get my name called.

It made me realize that not every week is a given. I want to feel certain about us, and I think there’s so much potential for us. You’re driven, ambitious. I’ve never met anyone like you. I feel unsure, and you deserve someone who is sure. It’s been hard for me to get to a point where I feel comfortable saying I’m in love, and I’m sorry.”

Marcus told the private cams, “I’m not in love with Jenn right now.” Jenn told Marcus, “Don’t apologize. You’re following your heart. I think there’s many layers and phases of love, and I would be lying if I didn’t say I am in love with you. I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t tell you how I truly feel.”

Marcus told her, “I’m trying.” She said, “I know you are, and I wanna make it as easy for you as I can.” Marcus said, “You make me feel amazing, and that means the world to me. Even though I’m not there yet, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you if I didn’t think it was possible. You deserve all the love in the world, and I’m trying to get there.”

Marcus told the private cams, “Jenn made me realize how important our relationship is to her.” They both agreed to go to the fantasy suite. Jenn told the private cams,”I am in love with Marcus, and my hope is that he will fall in love with me by the end of the week and wants to propose to me.”

Next, we got footage of them waking up in bed together. Marcus told the private cams, “It felt magical, waking up next to Jenn. Hearing Jenn say she loves me means the world to me. I just have to meet her where she’s at. I’m feeling hopeful.”

Marcus told Jenn, “This date was extremely special to me, and it helped me with some of the doubts I was having.” Jenn told the private cams, “It felt so good waking up next to Marcus. I am in love with him. I do have hope for Marcus and I.”

After all of that, we got more footage of Devin telling the private cams, “I do love Jenn, but I feel like I’m waiting for something I don’t know is coming.” Devin talked with host Jesse Parker and told him, “I don’t feel whole about this. I’m not feeling like I’m getting the love back from Jenn. I don’t feel wanted or needed.

I don’t feel like I’m the one. I need more from Jenn. I wish I could’ve said to Jenn the things I wanted to say. I held back.” Devin told the private cams, “I can’t keep moving forward. I can’t do it any more.” So, he went to talk with Jenn. Then, we got the “To be Continued” message.

Yep, we’re going to see all of this continue in either next week’s Monday episode or tomorrow night’s new episode. We’re not sure because tomorrow night’s episode is supposed to be The “Men Tell All” edition, but we have seen them show date footage on a “Tell All” episode in the past. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
