Survivor October 30 Voted Off Tiyana Hallums In A Tearful Blindside (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 30, 2024, another new episode for Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and another very unlucky contestant got the boot with another heavy blindside that was so brutal that it literally caused tears to be shed!

Tonight’s new episode kicked off with conversations about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Rome packing for home. Teeny told the private cams, “I feel so good about getting Rome out at the last tribal council meeting.”

Sol apologized to Andy about voting for him at the last tribal council meeting. Andy didn’t buy Sol’s explanation. Sol told the private cams, “I’m gonna have to earn Andy’s trust back, and I’m ok with that.” Sol told Andy that Sam told him Andy was the back-up target for the last tribal council meeting..

Andy told the private cams, “What Sol told me woke me up to what’s really going on.” Andy and Sol eventually made a deal to create an alliance. Andy told the private cams, “If Sam and Sierra are going to come for me, I need to get them first.”

Andy and Genevieve agreed to work together at one point. Tiyana told a lot of the women that Gabe is a threat. She told the private cams, “This is a good opportunity to get Gabe out. I don’t trust him.”

After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new immunity challenge. In this one, they had to balance a ball on a narrow beam without dropping the ball. The last one standing, won. However, they were split into two teams of 6 for this challenge.

The overall winner of this challenge, won immunity for both themselves and their entire team. The winner of the losing team, only won immunity for themselves, and the rest of the team had to go to the tribal council meeting and vote someone off. Also, the person voted off did not make jury as a punishment.

Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Gabe, Tiyana and Kyle were the blue team. Teeny, Sierra, Sol, Sam, Genevieve and Andy were the yellow team. Kyle won for the blue team, but he could not stay up there longer than Teeny and Genevieve. So, the entire yellow team won immunity from the tribal council meeting. Kyle won immunity only for himself. So, the blue team of: Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Gabe, Tiyana and Kyle had to head to the tribal council meeting and figure out who to vote off.

This immunity challenge also doubled as a reward challenge. The yellow team won a feast that consisted of: baby back ribs, potato salad, corn on the cob, beer and soft drinks.

At the reward meal, Sam expressed worry about Rachel’s position on the losing team. The losing team had 5 Tuku members against her. Tiyana told the private cams, “It will be a bad look for the five of us Tuku’s to come back into the merge after voting lonely Rachel out. We would be targeted and picked off one by one.”

So, Tiyana told Kyle, “It seems like the perfect opportunity to get Gabe out.” They agreed. So, Tiyana told Rachel about her plan to get Gabe out. Rachel told the private cams, “That’s music to my ears. I will vote out whoever’s not me. I’m in to vote off Gabe.”

Back at the reward meal, Andy went searching for a hidden immunity idol. Sierra told the private cams, “It doesn’t surprise me that Andy is looking for an idol. Andy is just a sloppy player, and someone I can’t work with.”

Sol also went looking for an idol, and he found an advantage. Then, he slipped it in his back pocket so no one would see it in this particular moment. Tiyana pitched her plan to get Gabe out instead of Rachel to Caroline. Caroline told Tiyana, “Rachel is the most dangerous player in this game. If it was anyone but her, I would be down.” Tiyana agreed. So, the plan was back on to vote off Rachel.

Elsewhere, Gabe told the private cams that he wanted to make Rachel feel comfortable enough not to use her shot in the dark to try and save herself at the tribal council meeting. So, he told Rachel, “It’ll be a big problem if we go back as five strong. So, I want to get Caroline out.” Rachel told the private cams, “I want to believe Gabe, but I don’t know if I can.”

Sol went off and read his advantage. It told him that his advantage has the power to either block a vote or provide safety with power. The safety without power allowed the recipient to walk out of a tribal council meeting and be safe from getting voted off. The catch to Sol’s advantage was that he had to give it to someone on the losing team for their tribal council meeting.

At the tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk. Then, at some point, Rachel revealed that she was given the advantage that Sol had found, but no one knew it was Sol who gave it to her. It allowed Rachel to just walk out of the tribal council meeting and be safe. So, that’s exactly what she did.

That left the five Tuku members having to turn on each other for sure. Some whispering took place. Gabe and Caroline’s names were whispered as targets. Someone told Gabe that his name was mentioned as a target. After all of that scrambling, they casts their votes.

Gabe ended up getting 1 vote, and Tiyana received 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Tiyana was voted off the island. She looked very shocked, and she cried on the way out. Tiyana told the private cams, “I thought I could trust the people who were in my alliance, and I got bamboozled. I’m devastated right now. I regret who I trusted.”
