‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 15 Next, New Episode 5 Is Getting Delayed
Happy Saturday, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. We’ve got a bit of bad news for you guys in this article. It turns out that ABC is already pumping the breaks on new episodes Of Grey’s Anatomy as the show will encounter it’s first break of the brand new season 15 this upcoming Thursday night, October 18,2018.
That’s right guys. Your favorite show will not be airing its brand new episode 5 until Thursday night, October 25, 2018 in the same 7 pm central time slot. So, be sure to jot that very important date down on your TV show calendars.
So, why is ABC not airing a new Grey’s Anatomy episode this upcoming Thursday? We’re not totally sure why. We have a few guesses but nothing official. We think ABC pre-plans these delays in advance based on the time they have to get through all of the 24 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy season 15 that they ordered. They’re probably a little ahead of schedule because the season opener actually combined the first and second episodes of the season to air on the same night. Again, it’s just a theory.
So, what will ABC be airing in Grey’s Anatomy’s place this Thursday night, October 18, 2018? We certainly have an answer for that. According to the TV Guide listings, ABC is looking to air a couple of Halloween specials since we’re in the month of October.
The first one that will air in the 7 pm central standard time slot is, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Yep, it’s another Charlie Brown special. This guy will just never die. I swear I think ABC will still be airing Charlie Brown specials a million years from now. It’s their go-to plan it seems. The description for this Charlie Brown special reads like this,”Charlie Brown is finally invited to a Halloween party. Snoopy engages the Red Baron in a dogfight, and Linus waits patiently in the pumpkin patch for the Great Pumpkin.” It’s going to last 30 minutes.
Then in the 7: 30 pm central time slot, ABC will be airing a special called, “Toy Story OF TERROR!” Judging from the description, it sounds like it could be another animated feature. The description reads like this, “The toys go on a road trip and get detoured to a roadside motel where one of them vanishes, and the others fear they may meet with the same misfortune.”
If any of you guys still like cartoons, ABC’s got the hookup for you this Thursday night. If not, you’ll definitely want to start making other plans for the 7 pm to 8 pm central time slots that night.
If any of you guys are fans of Grey’s Anatomy’s spin off show “Station 19,” you’re still in luck. ABC will still be airing a new episode of it in the 8 pm to 9 pm central time slots on Thursday night, October 18, 2018. It’s episode 3 of season 2. It’s entitled, “Home To Hold Onto.”
TV Guide provided a teaser description for it. It reads like this, “Station 19 receives a call from concerned neighbors regarding a resident in their apartment building. So, the team heads out to investigate. When they arrive to evaluate the scene, they’re shocked by what they find inside. Meanwhile, in an effort to create a solid working relationship between the fire and police departments, Ryan takes an unlikely member of the team on a ride-along.”
So, that is what’s going to be happening this Thursday night guys, October 18, 2018. Take it or leave it. The choice is yours.
On a more positive not, ABC did put out a press release for the new episode 5. Just a bit of warning. The press release does contain a teaser description of the episode. So, if you don’t want to see any spoiler teasers for episode 5, I would suggest you stop reading this article right now. On the flip side, if you don’t give a rat’s you know what, you can please feel free to keep on reading this article.
Alright, now that we’ve got our little spoiler warning out of the way, let’s get into this. Grey’s Anatomy season 15, episode 5 is titled, “Everyday Angel.” It sounds like it will feature some very serious and dramatic moments as Meredith tries to help out Teddy. Betty becomes a pretty big problem for Owen and Amelia. Jo runs into issues with Bailey and more.
We’ll go ahead and start things off with the Meredith and Teddy situation. It turns out that Teddy will be going through a pretty rough time, and Meredith is going to reach out and try to help her. ABC’s official description tells us,”Meredith reaches out to Teddy and helps her talk through some of her personal struggles.” An alternate description reads like this, “Teddy leans on Meredith during a difficult time.” That certainly sounds like it will provide a pretty emotional couple of scenes.
The second storyline teaser reveals that Owen and Amelia are going to have to start spying on Betty now that she’s become a flight risk. ABC’s description tells us, “Owen and Amelia hide out near Betty’s school after she becomes a flight risk.” An alternate description reads like this, “Owen and Amelia grow concerned over Betty’s well-being.”
So yeah, it definitely sounds like Owen and Amelia will have their hands full with this Betty girl moving forward. It seems like this plotline will provide some interesting scenes.
The third and final teaser reveals that Jo will run into some issues with Bailey not being fully focused on working on the fellowship. ABC’s description tells us, “Jo wants to get to work on the fellowship, but Bailey’s attention is elsewhere.”
Will Jo be able to snap Bailey out of her trance and work this out? That’s the big question for this particular scenario. We’ll just have to wait and see in about two weeks.

Amelia is looking quite happy in a couple of the snapshots. There’s also a couple of solo pics of Alex in action.
