Fantasy Island Season 1, September 19, 2021 Episode 8 Is The Finale. Season 2 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “Fantasy Island” fans. This article is for all of you who might not know that episode 8 was indeed the season finale episode for this very first season of Fantasy Island’s latest reboot show. So, we totally hope you guys enjoyed it and savored every minute of it because it might indeed be the last episode forever.
That’s right, guys. We unfortunately cannot confirm with you, right now, if Fantasy Island will be returning for a new season 2. FOX hasn’t renewed it yet. Honestly speaking, we are definitely not surprised that FOX hasn’t renewed it yet based on the LIVE ratings numbers that this show put up.
However, we are hearing from the folks over at Deadline.com that FOX is currently considering renewing it for a new season 2. They say the President of FOX Entertainment Michael Thorn is really proud of the show.
He stated, “It’s our first real, recent attempt at a cost effective drama series. The network and producers Sony Pictures Television are really proud of it. It held its own this summer.
We’re really high on it ,and it’s been exciting for us to cross pollinate some of the stars that we have in other series and do other exciting turns on Fantasy Island. We definitely see a potential second season, and it’s something that we’re talking about now. We’re very pleased with the show, and Liz Craft and Sarah Fain did a very good job.”
This first season of FOX’s Fantasy Island reboot show averaged 1.667 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.31 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 7, which aired this past Tuesday night, September 14, 2021, drew in 1.244 million LIVE viewers and a 0.26 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 2.053 million LIVE viewers. The lowest-viewed episode was episode 7 with 1.244 million LIVE viewers.”
The highest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.46 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.24 ratings score.
While we thought those numbers were pretty low for a major network like FOX. FOX apparently doesn’t think so. They seem to be ok with them according to their network President. However, we are still waiting to see if they’ll renew it or not. Any of you guys who want a new season 2 of Fantasy Island should definitely keep your fingers crossed.
