New ‘This Is The End’ movie delivered great comedy,horror,action & more. Columbia Pictures (Sony) released their new horror/comedy flick, “This Is The End” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was extremely hilarious even when they served up the horror parts. The movie stars: Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill,and Emma Watson.
In the new flick, Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel head on over to James Franco’s house to join a huge house party fiasco that involved ton of celebrities. Some of them included: singer Rihanna,Harry Potter’s Emma Watson,Kevin Hart, Michael Cera,and many more. A running theme throughout the movie, was that Jay wasn’t down with the whole Hollywood scene,but Seth tried hard to help him fit in.
Everything is going pretty normal until Jay and Seth,hit up a convenience store for snacks. From there, a huge apocalypse goes down that featured some people getting raptured up into Heaven, while others didn’t. The ones that got left behind,faced a lot of brutal destruction,murder,and more. Basically,everyone was just scrambling around for their lives.
The focus of the film eventually landed on Jay,Seth,Craig,Danny, Jonah,and James as they ended up taking refuge in James’ house. The guys would eventually get majorly attacked by huge demon monsters and a possessed Jonah Hill. Emma Watson also attacked them with an axe at one point due to a huge misunderstanding.
Finally, this crazy movie ended with the guys,learning that they needed to stop being selfish and make a huge sacrifice for others in order to get raptured up into Heaven,and some of them were successful just in the nick of time. Again, I thought this movie was quite funny and entertaining despite its overly silly plotline.
