According to a new report from denofgeeks.com, Fast And Furious, Brian O’Conner star, Paul Walker (left) recently chatted it up with Collider, and revealed that Universal has indeed greenlit an 8th installment of the successful franchise even though the 7th one has yet to be released. If that weren’t enough, they’re even considering a 9th and 10th installment!
Paul explained, ” Well, the studio supposedly wants 8, 9 and 10. I’ll be 50 by the time they’re finished. Even if 7 were to tank, there’s at least an 8. That’s a guarantee.” So, there you have it,guys. We’re definitely going to see an 8th movie. Woo hoo!! In addition to that, Brian mentioned a funny story as he revealed that the franchise actually hit a stumbling block back when they were considering the 4th installment. it was actually going to go straight to video, but Vin Diesel stopped all that nonsense, leading to new life for the franchise.
Paul stated, “The thing that’s pretty crazy is that neither Vin nor I were going back to do the third one. They were going to do a direct-to-video 4. They were going to dispose of it and be done with it. But then, Vin was like, ‘No, I’ll come in for a cameo’ because it wasn’t testing well.
