Beanie Sigel disses Jay-Z in his new “Average Cat” song,the Wall Street Journal reports. They say he went on New York’s Hot 97 radio station this morning to debut the new track, “Average Cat,” and it apparently contained lyrics that dissed Jay-Z.
Some of the lyrics referenced an alleged incident that occurred back in September at a tribute concert for Jay-Z. The lyrics state, “The rapper Shawn called the police on me//cause I was front row at the Blue Print 3,”
Lil Wayne “No Ceiling” mix tape is set to debut on Halloween, according to MTV news. They report that several songs from the mix tape have already leaked onto the internet this morning,but the Young Money camp says, Lil Wayne is still working on it,and that it is due out this Halloween.
They also report that on the interlude, Lil Wayne thanks his fans for supporting him. He says, “Welcome,” he says. “I appreciate you for having this. If you got this, if you’re listening to this, thank you. This is for you. It’s a big thank you for coming out to all the days and nights on tours, for coming and supporting me every single night. Even if you didn’t come to the tour, it’s just thank you.”
Adam Lambert new album cover gets released. It got released yesterday,Zap2it reports.Adam Lambert was the runner up in season 8 of the extremely popular reality talent show, “American Idol.” His new album is entitled, “For Your Entertainment,” and is scheduled to release on November 23 of this year.
He started immediately writing and recording songs with top pop hit makers like: RedOne, Ryan Tedder, Sam Sparro, Greg Wells, Max Martin, Linda Perry, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Kara DioGuardi and P!nk, after his “American Idol” run ended.
He also said that he collaborated with pop star, Lady Gaga a while back,and he just announced today,on “Twitter,” that his first single is going to be “Entertainment” which was produced by Dr. Luke. He also confirmed another song named “Soaked,” which was written by Muse.
Fox “Glee” is set to release two new music albums in November and December,according to Access Hollywood. They report that the albums will feature numerous songs from the show,and will be entitled, “Glee: The Music” volumes 1 and 2.
They will also be releasing a new Christmas single,a cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” which doesn’t appear on the show. They also report that the cast is planning to do a tour in the summer of 2010.
Also some of the stars of “Glee” are going to be putting out solo albums. Show writer, Ryan Murphy stated, “Lea Michele has tried different songs and already thought, ‘Maybe I like doing rock. Her album is not going to be Broadway stuff. She’ll sit with producers and come up with her own concept.”
More Taylor Swift concert tickets have become available at the ticket network. Apparently the Taylor Swift tickets all got sold out this morning on Ticketmaster.com,according to recent reports.
It’s reported that fans were huddled outside in blankets,waiting for the tickets to go on sale early this morning,and as soon the 10am hour hit, all the Taylor Swift, Ticketmaster, pre-sale tickets were sold within one hour. A spokeswoman for the American Bank Center ticket box stated, “Our phones are ringing off the hook and the pre-sale tickets sold within minutes.”
Rap star,Lil Wayne is set to go to jail for a year over gun possession charges,according to E! online. They report that Lil Wayne struck a deal with Manhattan prosecutors and pleaded guilty today to attempted weapons possession in exchange for a one year prison sentence.
He went before the Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Charles Solomon and confessed to a felony count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. They allowed him to stay out of jail on his current $30,000 bond,but he had to give up his passport.
Popstar Rihanna’s new song, “Russian Roulette” got released online earlier today on her website. Rihanna first released the song on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show,this morning.
“Russian Roulette” is the lead single off her new,upcoming album entitled, “Rated R,” which is to be released on November 23. “Russian Roulette” was written and produced by R&B artist, Ne-Yo.
The “Russian Roulette” music video was just shot this past weekend. It’s reported that she was wearing a short grey coat,knee high black boots,slicked back hair,and an eye patch, which she whore in the “Run This Town” music video by Jay-Z.
Rapstar Jay-Z is set to perform “Empire State Of Mind” at the 2009 “American Music Awards.” He’ll be performing it live with Alicia Keys,again. So it’ll be an encore performance of the 2009 “MTV Video Music Awards” minus Lil Mama’s interruption. But who knows,she might show up to do it again.
Jay-Z is nominated for “Favorite Male Artist” and “Favorite Album.” Jay -Z is reportedly canceling his Austin,Texas appearance to do the performance at the 2009 “American Music Awards.”
R&B star Mario asks why do you wanna break up, in his music video for his “Break Up” song, which is the lead single for his 4th studio album entitled, “D.N.A.”It also features Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett. The song was written by Sean Garrett and Shondrae Crawford,and mixed by Fabian. The song first premiered back in March of this year with Greg Street on his radio station, V-103.
The “Break Up” music video was shot in June of this year in a new complex which featured top of the line architecture. It was also on the harbor,and had a view of the city of Baltimore with the director, Chris Robinson. The music Video premiered in July on World Star Hip Hop.
Country Music star, Taylor Swift is set to guest host and perform on an upcoming “Saturday Night Live” show,according to Access Hollywood. Taylor commented on it,and said that she loves being around people who have funny creative genius.
She stated, “I love being around people who I feel have a different kind of creative genius. And the funny genius is definitely a fascinating one to be around.”
Also she said that she’s already been thinking of some skit ideas for the show. She stated, “I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time. There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”
