Top critics gave new ‘Devil’ movie mediocre reviews so far. Universal Pictures released their new horror/thriller flick “Devil” into theaters today,and the top critics have given it pretty mediocre reviews so far. Only three critics have reviewed it at the moment.

It looks like they were shut out from early reviews of the film. It’s garnered a few C ratings from the top critics,and stars: Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend, Logan Marshall-Green, Bojana Novakovic, Jenny O’Hara, Bokeem Woodbine,and Jacob Vargas.

John P. McCarthy at Box Office Magazine gave it a C+. He said, “There are a sufficient number of jolts thanks to quick edits and sound effects, plus the script’s efficient structure.” Adam Markovitz over at Entertainment Weekly gave it another C+ rating. He stated, “A pocket-size supernatural thriller that plays a bit like Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians retold by an unstable Sunday School teacher.” Read more »

Lionsgate released their new animated/adventure flick “Alpha and Omega” into theaters today,and the top movie critics appeared to think it was pretty average to mediocre at best with mostly C ratings across the board. Matt Stevens from E! Online gave it a C rating. He said, “Young viewers might be distracted enough by the log-sledding critters to overlook the movie’s lack of wit, but for most, there’s nothing here to howl about.”

Adam Markovitz at Entertainment Weekly gave it a C. He stated, “Underwhelming in the style of most off-brand CG.” Bill Gibron from Filmcritic.com gave it a C-. Ty Burr from the Boston Globe gave it a B. He said, “it’s moody and grim and engrossing if you approach it with the right expectations.” Roger Ebert from the Chicago Sun-Times gave it another B. He stated, “Affleck has the stuff of a real director.”

Disney released new action-filled Tron Legacy movie clip. Walt Disney Pictures recently released a brand new sneak peek movie clip (below) for their upcoming sci-fi/adventure flick “Tron Legacy,” and it looks pretty nice as it reveals new,unseen intense action scenes with more of the cool motorcycles and special effects. The movie stars: Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett,and Michael Sheen.

“Tron Legacy” revolves around revolves around character Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) who is a tech savvy 27 year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges). Sam looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Read more »

New Resident Evil 4 movie delivered lots of action & suspense. Screen Gems released their new action/thriller flick “Resident Evil 4: Afterlife” into theaters this weekend. I just got done checking it out,and I have to disagree with most of the top critic’s bad reviews of this movie. It was very entertaining and suspenseful just like the first three. It stars: Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Kim Coates, Shawn Roberts, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Wentworth Miller,and Sienna Guillory.

“Resident Evil 4: Afterlife” revolved around character Alice (Milla Jovovich) who eventually returns to Los Angeles,California after learning that no one is in the town of Arcadia where there are supposed to be survivors. However, she does find her long lost buddy Claire (Ali Larter) before heading out of Arcadia. Read more »

Top critics gave new Resident Evil 4 movie negative reviews so far. Screen Gems released their new action/thriller flick “Resident Evil 4: Afterlife” into theaters today,and the top movie critics don’t seem to be all that impressed with it so far. It appears that most of them were shut out from early screenings as only three critics have chimed in with their reviews at the moment.

It’s garnered only two C- ratings and a big fat D rating so far. Maybe that will turn around once the other critics chime in. Right now, it’s not lookin too good. The movie stars: Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Kim Coates, Shawn Roberts, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Wentworth Miller,and Sienna Guillory.

Kim Newman from Empire gave it a C-. She stated, “What fun there is to be had is undermined by drab 3D, hacked-out dialogue and rehashed plots. This is real D, not a dodgy conversion job, but Anderson makes elementary mistakes with the process which suggest he got hold of James Cameron’s cameras but started shooting before he read the manuals properly.” Read more »
