New The Hobbit,An Unexpected Journey movie delivered major action, drama & more. New Line Cinema released their new action/fantasy flick “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was really great towards the end,but I was super bored for about the first hour and half as it was pretty slow-moving. It stars: Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Evangeline Lilly, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, John Bell, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen, and Luke Evans.
In the new flick, it is revealed that the Dwarves were driven out of there home of Erebor by the great dragon Smaug. Eventually, character Bilbo Baggins is tricked by the great wizard “Gandalf the Grey” into joining the Dwarves on a mission to reclaim their treasure back from Smaug.
From there, they go on a wild adventure, and are eventually captured by evil,nasty-looking goblins. However, they get rescued by Gandalf when he returns after getting separated from the group. Meanwhile,Bilbo was able to slip away and inadvertently meet that crazy deformed hobbit Gollum, which I must say,was probably the best scene in the movie as Gollum is just so weird that it’s interesting as hell to watch him.
