Angelina Jolie ‘Salt’ movie delivered nonstop action & serious twists. Columbia Pictures released their new Angelina Jolie branded action flick “Salt” into theaters this weekend,and I must agree with the top movie critics’ positive reviews of this film. It had tons of action,along with plots and twists that just wouldn’t quit. It constantly kept me guessing,but not so much that I couldn’t figure it all out. It stars: Angelina Jolie,Liev Schreiber,Chiwetel Ejiofor,and Andre Braugher.
“Salt” revolved around CIA agent Evelyn Salt who within the first 10-15 minutes of the film,gets accused of being a planted Russian spy. She puts on a good job of acting like it’s not true for a little bit,but not for long as she really is a spy. She eventually uses all of her training and combat skills to escape and complete her assassination attempt on the Russian president who’s visiting America,but it doesn’t stop there.
Her next act, was to kill all the Russians who planted her as a spy in the first place, after they killed her husband. It turns out she went rogue along time ago when she married her husband in America. After that, she continues to blend in as a Russian spy in an effort to help assassinate the president of the United States. This is when the plot really starts to unravel and the real twists get revealed. They’re so twisted that Evelyn even gets fooled by it momentarily.
The movie ends in a huge showdown between her and someone who she never thought was a Russian spy, and concludes with a definite chance for a sequel. I Thought Angelina was great in this movie. She’s definitely an action star for a reason, because kicks butt. It’s chalked full of great action scenes,including fighting,shootouts,and car chases. It moves along at a pretty quick pace,which really kept me into it,and forced me to keep up with the plot,which was going in all kinds of different directions since Angelina Jolie’s character was actually a rogue Russian spy.
