Top critics gave new ‘Due Date’ comedy movie mixed reviews. Warner Bro. Pictures released their new comedy flick “Due Date” into theaters today and the top movie critics delivered pretty mixed reviews on this one, giving it Bs,Cs,and D. The movie stars: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Juliet Lewis, Danny McBride, and RZA.

Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a C. He stated, “a rather pat, occasionally desperate road comedy.” Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B-. He said, “it does have some very big laughs. Unfortunately, the story holding them together isn’t as successful.”

Lisa Schwarzbaum at Entertainment Weekly gave it a B-. She said, “The unexpected pairing of Galifianakis and Downey is a pleasure.” Chris Cabin at Filmcritic.com gave it a B-. He said, “Phillips plays it dryly.”

Todd McCarthy from the Hollywood Reporter gave it a B-. He stated, “It might not be The Hangover, but it’ll do until the sequel comes along.” Manohla Dargis at the New York Times gave it a C. She stated, “Mr. Galifianakis is good enough to make you almost forget the movie.”

James Berardinelli at Reelviews gave it a C. He said, it was “unremarkable.” Mick LaSalle at the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a big fat D. He said, “Until now, Todd Phillips has only made funny movies.”
