New TRON Legacy movie delivered solid action & interesting story. Walt Disney Pictures released their new sci-fi,action flick “TRON Legacy” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and I thought it was really good.

The unique storyline and great action scenes kept me really interested in it the entire time. The movie stars: Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett, and Michael Sheen.

“TRON Legacy ” revolved around character Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) who is a pretty wild 27 year old that likes to pull pranks on his father’s company with no aspirations for ever taking it over. He also wonders where his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) disappeared to when he was a child.

He eventually gets a strange pager message that leads him to his father’s arcade where he eventually discovers a secret project his father was working on. Next thing you know, he activated the portal and away he went into a place called the grid,a sort of fantasy world that his father built before it was taken over by a program he created called Clu.

Clu looked like Kevin Flynn, but he was definitely not Kevin Flynn. He apparently turned against Kevin, and wanted to get his hands on a disk of his that would show him how to get into the real world. Kevin couldn’t let that happen,so he went away into hiding, causing him to become a prisoner in the world he created, many years ago.

Sam eventually finds his father, and they figure out a way to escape without Clu getting the disk. However it wasn’t easy as they faced action filled motorcycle attacks, space ship attacks, hand to hand combat, and more. The scenes were excellent and lively. It was quite a unique film to watch.

It showed scenes of a younger Jeff Bridges as his alter ego Clu looked just like him,but never aged. Twilight Saga’s Michael Sheen made an appearance in the movie as the evil Castor/Zuse character who liked to play tricks. It was a very entertaining 3D viewing experience. I gave the movie an A. “TRON Legacy” movie is in theaters now. Get your “TRON Legacy” movie tickets by Click Here.
